Barrow AFC - The team that plays nice football but gets beat

Post by thedon1969 » Tue Oct 03, 2017 10:15 pm

It's got to the point now where it's pathetic.
We have gone from a strong, organised gritty team (which Casson raved about and wanted us to be) to a pretty boys technique academy full of loans (were told at the start of the season we wouldn't be getting many). Injuries are no excuse anymore with Dixon, Harvey Harrison etc back. We are in Non League trying to get out not League 1 mid table!

We got rid of the best manager we have had in years because he had control. Unfortunately our guys at the top want more control over the team, All I've listened to the past month is "Give Moore time".
Out of his depth, he thinks we can change a mentally and whole squad half way through the season. Ive bit my tounge and not complained, kept my opinions quiet to give him a run but enough is enough now.

I'm staying away from the club. I can't bare to see us die.
Get a Quality manager and staff in who know how to win weekly at this level. For starters save us this season.

Casson is a typical yank in the Vietnam era saying one thing while extracting himself from the situation
Project Barrow is finished and his inactions are helping it wither on the vine.
Texan Deputies tell me are we in a better position than last year? stop the dire tribe and tell me how well we are doing
Better Manager?
Better players?
Better CEO?
7 th was not good enough do where are we now.
I am not apologizing but Barrow is my club and I would like to see more interviews with Paul Casson about where he thinks we are and play Look North/ Granada Reports/ RC Interviews back.
Suddenly the Texan has gone media shy

Totally agree Pedro PAUL CASSON needs to speak up weekly.

Not being funny guys but stop using the term "cut the negetivity". Your as bad as Moore with the Pretty football.

It's real, it's happening, not going to hide behind it and pretend everything is ok.

I've been a big critic of the current regime after Casson failed in a lot of promises he made. The sooner we realise that we aren't a money club, Casson isn't as loaded as what we 1st thought and we are just average non league club the better. It just might unite the support. See you all at the statue outside mcdonalds tomorrow at 12.15. Don't just [SwearFilter] moan, do something.

So basically you want him to give a statement so you can take the [SwearFilter] two months later?

Just out of interest Pedro, did you attend the Q&A last week? did you attend the last PC Q&A two months ago? have you ever attended any Q&A's to ask your questions? AC said he'd talk to anyone who had any questions at the club, have you ever asked to meet him?

Or do you just moan from a dark room?

You see, we know things aren't good at the moment but what good does it do repeating the same stuff on here over & over & over if you don't take your questions/criticisms any further?
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Staying away from the club is NOT what WE need.. WE all know things are not good for various reasons, staying away has a negative effect on the players, the fans and ultimately the coffers that we need!£!£
If only we can take some of this anger and frustration on to the terraces and make some serious noise.. WE all know that a noisy HS makes for a better performance from OUR lads and deffo puts the opposition on the back foot..sometimes even influences the ref!!

The title of this post is wrong, we don't play nice football. I'd have to go back years before I can remember a time that I was truly entertained by a decent footballing Barrow side. We're boring to watch, more so than I've ever known us and we have been for ages now. We were boring under Edmo and under Cox but we were happy because we were relatively successful.

People sometimes say its the nature of this league, but its not. I've seen several other games as a neutral now, both in person and on TV. All have been significantly better games to watch than I can remember us being involved in for god knows how long.
