Match Day Posters (Barrow Rugby)

Post by The Tomahawk Kid » Fri Mar 09, 2018 4:14 pm

I recently noticed two posters advertising Barrow Raiders v Dewsbury.
One was in a local gym and one hanging from a lamp post on Greengate Hill! Now that's initiative! :D

I know there's usually some that can be printed off on here (and thanks to the guy/s who create them) but the two I saw looked the 'business'! Very glossy and very professional looking. They must have been produced and paid to be printed by the club.

It does make you wonder...

They have been doing that for a number of years now and you have just noticed them.
Cannot have had that much affect on you then.

I took a group of IT students from Furness College to the club last Tuesday to discuss ideas for a few mini projects they would like to undertake at the club to help with their qualification they are working on. One observation was made by one of them was the posters visible around the town by the commercial team at Craven Park. There may be some scope here for one or two of them to design something and potentially have something similar. We just need to run this by the club and one or two others so hopefully we may see something in place in the future.

Fly posters usually advertise events with posters, stickers or bills that are put up without the permission of the property owner. Fly-posting is a criminal offence.

Well, I've never seen any posters in the gym I attend or on Greengate Hill in the past so how can I have noticed them!

The effect it had on me was to question our club's marketing strategy...
