Donovan Makoma
Donovan Makoma
Full credit to Donovan Makoma last couple of games. He hasn’t had much of a look in and when he came in at right back it raised a few eyebrows , yet I’ve been impressed with his performances last two games in this position. Always looks to be positive.
Is this his best position? Certainly has took it on and done ok.

Still searching for the Young Soul Rebels

Re: Donovan Makoma
Said all season that the bits I’ve seen of him he’s a real player.
Quick feet can see a pass, and he’s not a right back but would play him broke bartram.
Got to to member he’s an 18 year old French lad that speaks no English.
Some see him as a scape goat

Re: Donovan Makoma
He seems to have found his position and is gaining in confidence, he certainly wasn’t scared to put his foot in and battle a bit today. As someone said on here ‘there’s a footballer in there somewhere ‘
I don't belieeeeeeeve it!

Re: Donovan Makoma
Yes he looked good on the ball and played some good passes. He’s young and can make errors defensively but he did well. He will eventually move into a classy midfield role and do well in higher levels.
Re: Donovan Makoma
Only been to a couple games as living away but the Wrexham game at home I did get to and I thought he looked a decent player. Strong and great engine. End product lacking a little but that could better.
Actually reminded a bit of Andy bond the year before his breakthrough season.
Didn't realise he's only 18.

Re: Donovan Makoma
The lad had mixed bag away at Maidstone, tried hard and.never shyed away from the action, but was caught out of position numerous times. Wasn't sure if it would work out beyond that. But he has certainly proved me wrong. Donovan has rose to the challange and put in a couple of decent performances, hopefully he continues in the same vein for the next nine game.
Re: Donovan Makoma
Was not a fan after seeing him on tv vs fylde. I was to early to make that call and hold my hands up. Growing on me a lot. Well done lad and stick in.

Re: Donovan Makoma
You can certainly see his confidence growing every minute he's on the pitch & some of his touches were sublime yesterday, fair play to the lad
Just my opinion

Re: Donovan Makoma
Agree with everything Soulboy says about young Donovan. Not the easiest crowd to please, everyone has an opinion, but he is progressing well under the pressure to do well. As a young lad he is now been given the chance to change the perspective of many, he need encouragement. Some of his touches were sublime, there is confidence in his play, some passes go astray, but others on the button, he will improve his positional sense and be stronger in the tackle under the guidance of the management team I’m sure.. I think he has rose to the challenge so good luck Donovan, keep the improvement coming.

Re: Donovan Makoma
Another plus for the lad is that when he is out of the squad he watches the games and supports his team mates, some of them just sit staring at their phones with no cares as to what’s happening on the pitch.
He’s young so he’ll make mistakes but there’s something there. You don’t get picked for your country if you’re no good.

Re: Donovan Makoma
Certainly improving. Could he make a winger ?. Has got some tricks and has good feet.
