For "Won't be rushed on recruitment" I hope he doesn't mean that we won't do anything until the first week in August when the only players on the market are the ones no-one else wanted.

That's exactly what I thought as soon as I picked the paper up-the same rhetoric as per last year.

Re my post on the Ady thread, does this article mean it is safe to assume that Ady is our manager for the coming season and no announcement on his future is necessary?

From reading that it sounds like Ady has been getting some mixed messages, but that's no surprise as we have all been getting them from the off!!
Sounds like he's not getting the budget he first believed he was getting so has to cut his cloth accordingly so he can put together a squad. And now has to go back to the players and inform them one by one pay cut fella or look elsewhere!! Might be wrong but that's what I read into it.

It's only early days yet, most players are on contract to June. Not really concerned who stays out of that lot, it should sort the men out from the boys in theory.
Would be good to get some continuity with a manager again though as that's important and I think Ady cares about many things surrounding the club, but so did Paul Cox at the beginning .

That's exactly what I thought as soon as I picked the paper up-the same rhetoric as per last year.
In fairness its pretty much the same rhetoric from any club at this time of year. He's hardly going to say "we're going to rush into it, splash the cash and potentially get the wrong players in" is he? Its pretty much a standard interview full of cliche and soundbites. I'm far from AC's biggest fan but I'm not reading anything into that interview.

Hmm-suppose I'd go along with that.

I agree but I`d rather have "things will be done a lot different this season!" :D

I’d rather have somebody in charge that actually knows what they’re doing.

An MD who understands and has experience in running a football club would be a terrific investment for the future, but nepotism is the current driving force.
