Vs Bolton on Tuesday

Post by LCBAFC40 » Sat Oct 17, 2020 9:36 pm

With a big game on Tuesday vs Bolton and againt our former manager Evatt who is under as much pressure as DD is at Barrow for results to improve I see this as a must Win! Oldham who were bottom until today went at Bolton and had several chances to score more goals. With the right 11 from what we've got available i think we could get the result we've been waiting for.

Personally I'd go for a 3 4 3 approach

Dixon
Platt Zouma Brough
Kay M.Jones C.Tylor Barry
Reid Quigley Angus

Assuming Hardcastle is out of contention.

If the lads can be fired up and really go at Bolton then I'll stick with my previously stated prediction of 4-0 (Quigley 3 - Reid 1)

Evo will be under more pressure than Dunn.

Who ever scores the 1st goal wins the game.

We are tight at the back so should go for the jugular.

They are both under the exact same pressure our league position is horrific Southend's under 18’s below us and mansfield

Bolton look woeful at the moment - their players don’t yet seem technically capable of adapting to Evatt’s brand of possession based football. If we press them high and rush them them in possession (as Carlisle did to us at Brunton Park) there is no reason why we can’t force mistakes and turn them over - especially if Quigley and new Brum loanee are both available. Hopefully Hardcasle injury not as bad as it appeared and Mike Jones is also available to start. We’re still unbeaten at home - keep the faith! 👍😉

Now David Dunn is at home in isolation rather than off watching England he’ll have loads of time to analyse ours and Bolton’s games yesterday.........

3pts needed, if quigley is fit play the two new forwards upfront with him, richardson along side him and reid out wide . Angus has had enough chances

Will DD still pick the team from distance as now both he and Rob Kelly are isolating so not at training Monday or will the 2 guys put in charge do it ? Hird knowing IE so well might just know a weakness we can exploit.
