Mansfield Town (A)

Excuses in early from Mr Clough jnr. I’m sure Mark Cooper will call ditto with a injury list of his own.
Gonna be a tight game this one but can definitely come out of it with at least a share of the spoils if not more!

They are down to the bare bones. But if both Maris and Hawkins are fit their starting 11 will still be a recognisable first team squad

So yes there is an element of getting excuses in early - mainly for local consumption. If they lost any more though they would be into academy players and that would certainly not be good.

I doubt if many who would travel by car are going to take the risk of running out of petrol.

That might have something to do with the petrol shortage. Also rail links to Mansfield (from anywhere) are not great. If a couple of hundred make it, that would be very decent in the circumstances

320 miles round trip. Fuel is available in Barrow and the motorway services have fuel too. Tickets can be bought at the ground on the day.
They have about as many missing players as we do.
Given our current form we should get a result
Mansfield 0-2 Barrow.
Just say no to VAR :sentoff:

I’ve been to the Teeside and Yorkshire (not Notts admittedly) areas with work this week and all petrol stations have been open with little or no queuing.
Can’t see that being a problem especially with fuel being available here also.
1-2 (Gordon, Gotts) - 325 Bluebirds.

Pay on the day, it’s a no brainer and stress free.

Can do it on the train.
Apparently the ground is a 10 minute walk from the station and can be see as you arrive.

I am someone who doesn’t feel comfortable going on a coach have driven to most away matches but won’t be because of the fuel situation so understand why the numbers might be down, need to string a run of results together but can sense another perfect storm coming, likely to be wet n windy no team in the EFL should be more familiar with those conditions so confident of a win

For anyone worried about fuel, I live in Derbyshire, about 25 miles from Mansfield. I got diesel with almost no queue yesterday and I am in Sheffield today and there seem to be no problems. I will be going on Saturday and buying tickets on the day. Looking forward to another good Barrow away performance. More of the second half against Newport please!
