Trust Travel News 2023-24

Post by barrowaberdeen » Sun Jun 25, 2023 2:26 pm

Firstly, a word on the FC United away friendly on the 8th July. We won't be running any buses to friendlies. However, there is a Bluebirds Trust community outing to Manchester planned on that day. Anyone who would like details on this, please e-mail info@bluebirdstrust.co.uk It will run on the same lines as our outing to the North-East last pre season.

We've looked at the financial situation and listened to your views and there are a few small changes to help the buses run better. Good luck to Chris Taylor who takes overall charge and Sean Metcalfe is also taking more of a role on matchdays too.

There will be bus information for league fixtures out very soon. Please do read these changes and by all means e-mail info@bluebirdstrust.co.uk with any questions.

Roles and Responsibilities

Travel Representative on Trust Board: Chris Taylor
Booking and Payments: Chris Taylor and Andrew Monks
Bus Organisation: Sean Metcalfe and Chris Taylor
Pre-Match Organisation- Sean Metcalfe and Chris Taylor
Media, Funding and Travel Sponsorship: Steve Herbert

Changes to Guidelines

ALL Buses are Members Only: Everyone joins pre-travel. £10 cost
16 and under on 1st September 2023 need to pay the pound to join
16 and under Travel is not free but is heavily subsidised through sponsorship and funding- £5 North of Birmingham, £10 South. MUST be accompanied by an adult as before (1 adult, 1 U16)
Buses will be up to book earlier but there will be earlier cut offs
Refunds only up to 24 hours before departure time
Everyone who's travelling's names must be provided, if you want to be with other groups you must put this in the notes section when booking. No exceptions
Provisions must be stored in a rucksack not in polythene bags or boxes

AOB
We are offering the Summer Saver again for those who like to pay in advance
We will be asking the bus company to arrive 15 minutes before departure
A Trust number and a bus company number will be shared so passengers en route have someone to ring with queries on the day
Trust Travel Reps will attempt to ring a 'no-show' three times on the day. No answer- we go

A lot of this has come from your suggestions. As an aside, if anyone can help us with sponsorship, keep your eyes open for more information or e-mail info@bluebirdstrust.co.uk and mark it FAO Steve

Thanks all- we go again!

I believe the travel reps travel free, as supporters should they not pay as well.
