Here we go again.Pete Wild getting reprimanded for something he was supposed to have said to a match official before the Accrington game.
There seems to be double standards here.When a match official bottles a decision as in the Wrexham game nothing gets done to that official.
We had already had an apology for wrong decisions in the previous two games.Apologies count for nothing,action needs to be taken against these officials similar to the ones taken against Pete Wild.
I would like to suggest that they lose their match day fee plus a fine where it is proved they have repeatedly made the wrong decisions .Last Monday if the Wrexham player had been sent off the outcome of the game would have been very different.
You and I both know though that nothing will be done as the whole organisation needs a route and branch reform and it would upset too many people in cosy positions .To do it you would have to upset to many apple carts and that is never going to happen.

It would be nice to see some actual accountabilities for Ref’s; sadly that won’t happen, so managers like Pete will just keep getting fined/banned for telling them how crap they are instead

Refs always find it easier to sanction someone for a simple offence, such as kicking the ball away or dissent, than to make difficult decisions on incidents such as fouls during a game. It is often the sign of a weak ref.

His name has come up on the Notts County forum. Though so have many others. I'm not sure he plays the style of football that the Notts Co. owners aspire to. We often think on this forum that PW would be in demand almost across the EFL. He probably should be. A lot of clubs however do seem to have owners that not only want to select a manager that delivers success but also owners who are determined to dictate the style of play used to deliver it. Without sounding too jingoistic, this is very much the case where foreign owners are concerned.

PWs style of play is not everybody's cup of tea. Like it or not, Luke Williams was seen by Swansea as not only having a great record with Notts but also as being a purveyor of fast flowing attacking football. I'm not having a go at PW by the way. Simply reflecting the opinions of others. Williams also has a previous relationship with Swansea.

Notts will also have the debate about experience versus youth. Cost of contract buyout. And at some point the attitude of the candidate. And then having done the due diligence they'll probably pat themselves on the back and plump for someone like Paul Ince. Lets hope so.

Their last 2 managers haven’t been in the experienced category so certainly not the sort of club that thinks experience matters

This sort of post is divisive and absolutely unnecessary. It speculates that our manager is actually being considered by Notts County, without any evidence whatsoever, and goes on to suggest the post has credence because PW doesn’t play their way.

I tend to agree with Hitthebar. If we get a thread every time a 'big' club loses a manager and Wild's name is mentioned on a forum (possibly an example of fake news designed to unsettle Barrow) it will get very tedious. We must have faith that Wild is happy here, has a great squad, good bosses, training location very convenient for home and is part way through an exciting project/challenge. Of course, someone might come along with an offer to double his salary but, as the Beatles said, money can't buy me love.

I always find it baffling managers particularly young ones, jumping ship mid season to some other team usually struggling, leaving behind their squad because they are supposedly bigger then get sacked without achieving anything the following season. I can understand in summer moving on but not mid season when you cannot sign the players you want. Pete in his interviews appears to me to like to stay for a number of years to have something to show he has had success like reaching the playoffs or a promotion. He can do that with us so I don’t think he will go anywhere during a season

This thread was about the unfair way Pete Wild was being treated whilst blatant fouls on our players were being ignored by the officials in the game.To speculate about him moving to another club without any evidence is just speculative and isn,t what this thread is about.

Just enjoy it because in 30 years time Pete wild will just be a former manager in a long list and many of us will be dead so in the grand scale of things it doesn't matter one way or other
