Buying Ticket for Swindon

Post by watcher » Fri Sep 06, 2024 9:57 am

Hi guys, I have just tried to buy a ticket for the Swindon game, but it says my email address is invalid ( which I know it isn’t). Is anyone else having a similar issue?
I have emailed the club without a response so far.

Cheers

IIRC if you haven’t already done so at start of the season so you need to set up a new account as the website is different to last season. You can still use the email address you used previously

Thanks, but I have bought tickets for each of the home games this season without any issues, so I think therefore my account is valid. Also, I can log in to it with no issues.
I last used it to buy a ticket on Monday 2nd for the Bolton cup game.
It is simply saying I should use a valid email address. Checking previous ticket downloads show my account email address being the same one I tried this morning.

Have you accidentally left a space at the end of the email address? Sometimes happens if it's auto-filled

Had a similar issue recently. If auto fills in my email and even thought it’s correct it doesn’t seem to like it. I got around it by deleting the auto filled in email and manually typed it in again and then confirmed it in the box below and it seems to work.

The whole site is a faff though and not user friendly at all.

Thanks guys, I’ve tried numerous different ways….. different devices/browsers/operating systems and get the same result each time.

I have emailed the club about this issue, but so far have heard nothing.

I am reluctant to set up a new account only to find I have the same issue with the new one when I haven’t had any issues before now.

Could ring the club ticket officer to enquire.

Is there a direct number for the ticket officer. Can’t find the name / number anywhere.

Seconded. Whenever I buy a ticket I’ve got to re-enter my details every time despite having an account, it won’t save the address and then being asked to confirm it all again is annoying. No Apple Pay option and entering your card details isn’t easy in a small box and you struggle to see what you’ve entered previously! Also it mentions a booking fee which it never actually charges but shows a £1 more than the actual ticket cost…

Have you filled in the box that asks you to confirm your email address? I think you get an error message if you leave this blank.

Yeah, I have filled all fields this time as previously, but for whatever reason it doesn't like my "valid" email address.
I have, however been forced to re-register using an alternative address and I have my tickets.
Still, however awaiting a response from the club.
Thanks for the input guys... :scarf:

Just ring the club and ask to speak to someone about tickets.
