In or out ?
In or out ?
What do people think with regards Clemence ?
IN for me for now.
Who is available that is any better.

Re: In or out ?
Cat among the pigeons time. I would ditch the policy of signing good lads.
We need a mix of quality and nastiness. We are literally too soft for this league. So i would keep the manager for now and have a massive overhaul of the playing staff.
Here's the controversial bit I would get rid of Campbell and Spence first. The lack of attacking intent starts in the midfield. Backwards and sideways does not work and stifles the strikers. If the ball doesn't go forward they stop making runs.
I would also get rid of the following
Acquah
Telford
Stokes
Tiensia
Ogungbo
Feely
Daniels
The most worrying thing is that apparently everyone is happy in the training camp. In other words complacent and comfortable. Shake it all up and give Clemence a big stick.

Re: In or out ?
In, give him time. Need to bring in a creative midfielder who can supply chances to the strikers. We can lose 3 or 4 so called strikers
Just say no to VAR

Re: In or out ?
If we’re 5th from bottom on Saturday, which is a possibility, a definite OUT!
Re: In or out ?
Back him or sack him. Bar a few decent games at the start we’ve carried on from where we left off last season conceding sloppy goals, individual errors and posing no threat upfront.
Recruitment was poor, we took a month into the pre season before Wild was confirmed as leaving and appointing Clemence.
Campbell and Spence need a good midfielder with them both are young and we lack physicality in there and someone to get their foot on the ball. Out wide and upfront we are hopeless which will always put pressure on the defence.
Jackson aside not one player who has come in has been an improvement. I’m including Vassell as he’s no better than Ray for me.
January needs to see a clear out and the right people brought in but easier said than done. This season will probably be a case of rebuild and hope the bottom two are considerably worse than we are…

Re: In or out ?
Let's see where we are on 2 January and how it looks then.
We need to get further up the pitch, take some risks and score some goals - we need a few in and out who can help change the form - it's not a 20 goal striker (we've got two already) for me it's about better management and tactics - the ingredients are there - SC needs to get a better tune out of them. If he can't show that in the next few games against teams who are also mid table , then I think it's probably time to change.

Re: In or out ?
Out , don’t think we can afford to wait until January. He has won 2 games in 2.5 months ( one being against an academy side). This isn’t just a bad run of form anymore we don’t even look promising.
Add to this that he isn’t a Barrow manager. A barrow manager for me like Wild , Evatt gets the fans up for it they played on the backs to the wall mentality. Clemance doesn’t understand us down here I don’t think , in the same way Mark Cooper didn’t
If we fail to win Saturday I don’t see any option that would be 11 weeks without a league win

Re: In or out ?
Difficult one as Barrow Aberdeen has eluded to elsewhere! I too had hoped the owners had deserved some respite from the hiring and firing but this is quickly proving to be the winter of our discontent.
The manager can not have many credits left to prove his worth. I ultimately hope he does but sadly fear he won’t and our owners will soon be rolling the dice again in a quest to change our fortunes before it becomes a case of all our yesterdays.

I agree, however a couple more defeats and January will be the start of a relegation battle.McMark wrote: ↑Tue Dec 17, 2024 6:18 pm Difficult one as Barrow Aberdeen has eluded to elsewhere! Hoping SC can turn it around but we have a play off budget so the owners will be wanting and expecting alot more than what's on show right now.
Unfortunately it's looking like the Cup money needs to be spent on Player recruitment or management replacement or both.

Re: In or out ?
Even if we get a change of playing personnel we’ll still have the same crap tactics, we simply don’t create enough chances.
We’re supposed to have a top coach why have our good players either stayed the same or got worse.
My home town team should be busting a gut for their boss and supporters, you don’t have to be the best to win but you have to have the mentality.
Time to stand up and be counted boys or shrink away to oblivion. Whatever’s wrong in that dressing room and believe me there is, needs sorting and sorting quick. COYB

Re: In or out ?
I hate the thought of sacking another manager, but lwe have 3 home games in next 5 and half the season will be gone by 4th January. I think that if we don't have at least 30 points by then iI think any hope of a turnaround will surely be gone.
