Does anyone think we could get in the playoff position?

No not now. If we had signed Pressley at the start of the season we might have done 😉

I’d quite happily take mid table given where we were in January. Swindon and Harrogate were dreadful, Whing has done well to get us picking up wins at home and starting to look a bit more aggressive and solid. Actually getting crosses in and attacking them.

Let’s not get carried away though morecambe away will be a test of how much we’ve really turned it around. Our away record and particularly against lowly teams like ourselves hasn’t been great. We’re probably safe but a defeat would undo a little bit the last two results.

Start planning and buildings for next season and hope that we get a good summer for recruitment and planning, unlike last one which was disrupted by Wild leaving.

Yep does go looking for the ball .
And he tries probably better than Aquah but still need someone to put the ball in the net from his knock downs.
Interesting to see we had less possession but won.

Interesting to look on the Stevenage forum when Pressley signed. Comments such as ' Pity its only a loan', 'Runs about a bit won't be missed' and ' Notice he's not in the team,,injured as usual already' jsut a sample. Just another exaample of horses for courses to me and certainly doing the job he has been brought in to do.Long may it continue.

Two points really, to even mention the play offs is utterly ridiculous,we are certainly not good enough and secondly,Presley is certainly not good enough,he puts himself about and wins more than Aqhua, but he’s not a consistent goal scorer. Two great victories on the bounce, but yesterday was a shocker to watch.

Does a forward have to be a constant goalscorer to be successful?
Danny Welbeck has had an 18 year career in the Premiership, but has has yet to reach double figures, only scoring 9 goals in his best season.

Play-offs. Don’t even go there. Even if we roll over Morecambe. Just don’t go there. Anyway, we would probably need about 70 points to get a place and that just isn’t going to happen.

Made the first goal at Notts County by chasing and keeping in a ball that was going into touch, then made a neat flick on to whoever crossed it (sorry, I can't remember). Roughed up the Accy central defenders yesterday until they didn't know whether they were coming or going, then made the first goal with a great leap above the defenders to head the ball down, then beat the keeper to a cross, in spite of risking being clattered, for our second.

He seems to be a great header of the ball and, most of all, he has the grit and determination that epitomises what Whing says he wants from his team. Perhaps he didn't suit Stevenage because they like to play pretty football and he probably didn't suit Clemence, but I think he suits Whing.

Spot on Jim Pressley occupied the Accrington centre halves all day. He won’t get you 20 goals a season but he offers much more than that in other areas. He is only young at 23 so is still learning his trade. It was noticeable how he was back helping the defence as well as leading the line up front. His work rate is phenomenal and he must cover some KM in a game.

In the four seasons since we returned to the EFL, the club in 7th place has scored 73, 77, 75 and 70 points. We currently have 43, so to get even the lowest target of 70 we would need to win 9 of our last 11 games. So no.

Well if you remember under the two Dave's we were in the bottom four at Christmas then went on a run that saw us get to the play offs
