Someone loves our ground.
Nice to see that in today’s (Tuesday April 8th) Daily Mail, the well known sports journalist Oliver Holt has placed Holker Street third in the top northern Football League grounds he’s visited . His beloved Stockport tops his list, followed by Liverpool. He ranks Holker Street just above Newcastle and Leeds.
He’s written the article after recently completing all 92.

That's nice to hear.
I believe there are also away fans that travel up to Cumbria and like the old fashioned grounds like Holker street and Brunson park.

Brilliant...! Better than St James Park , Old Trafford etc I love that this guy has been around all 92 grounds. Someone must have been really nice to the correspondent . Well done . 6th out of 92 . Thats worthy of a blue plaque.

Re: Someone loves our ground.
The 2 lists are actually the same one created by Oliver Holt, one is countrywide (6th out of 92) the other is just the Northern clubs from that list (3rd).

Apparently he’d have voted it the top ground in the country but he took points off because when he went to use the Popular Side toilets he couldn’t get the taps to stop. For those confused, you need to see another thread to get the joke.
