I don’t think that we are an attractive proposition.

We have been through so many managers since getting promoted 5-6 years ago. We are now in a relegation battle and let’s face it we have a poor squad. And that’s before getting someone up to Barrow. We are not a big pull unfortunately.

It has to be someone with EFL experience. Particularly at this stage of the season. "Up and comers” are too risky.

If the right experienced manager is out there with contacts and wanting to do it his way within our budgeting then further changes may happen I think. Otherwise another similar thread may be required far too soon.
But In my view we will probably go for a short term solution and take an overall review of operations of a footballing nature in the Summer.

First thing they need to do is agree on a footballing identify. We’ve gone from one extreme to the other with everything in between.
Then they need to decide if they gonna stick with the Head Coach Role, or go back to a traditional Manager role. That will determine who might be on the radar.

I wonder if that's why McDonald was brought in - to give him a shot at the job if he wants it. If he steers them clear of relegation his contract might be extended until the end of the season and take it from there.

Ideally you’d want someone like Jon Brady but who knows if someone like him would want the job
