Rebuild starts now
Thank God that's over.
Get rid of all the coaching staff including Coughlan.
Get a experience Manager in.
John Coleman has been good in the past but is he past it?
Get rid of the high paid players tell them we will be sending them out to a team preferably one that there is alot of physical contact.
I would not be surprised if the Board try to sell the club.

Re: Rebuild starts now
Why would an experienced manager with any kind of track record want to join Barrow after this seasons revolving door. Getting relegated is one thing, but the manner in which we went about everything after sacking Whing has made us a laughing stock.

Re: Rebuild starts now
Coleman for me would be ideal as Manager forget this Head Coach rubbish. He's experienced, he has been there and done it all and he takes no nonsense and he's North West based. If someone can come up with anyone better tell me

Re: Rebuild starts now
I think there's plenty of clubs offering more money and more stability of tenure. If you think we can get a good experienced manager in I really hope you're correct.
Re: Rebuild starts now
Not so sure on Coleman other than Accrington over years, he didn’t do so well at Rochdale or at Gillingham. Ryan Lowe if he would drop to non league? Michael Appleton? Big decision to make has to be right and hopefully Wood and Harvey have gone and won’t be anywhere near the decision this time. May a certain Pete Wild be available again too…
Re: Rebuild starts now
There will always be decent managers out there wanting to manage us imo. The challenge is always the draw. Guarentee there will be minimum 20 applicants. Just hope the board are more open and iafter the final choice is made ,be more open n transparent n tell us wjo genuinely applied. We 100pc need more dialogue from our board on matters that affect OUR club n OUR team. ant aka tony

If Woods gone, would Wild come back?

The OP said experienced, and so did I. We could well attract a decent up and coming manager. The names that were thrown around on this forum from January and the people who were actually appointed tell you a lot.ant wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2026 9:20 pmThere will always be decent managers out there wanting to manage us imo. You cannot announce who applied as they might get the sack from their current club.StephenD wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2026 9:26 pmThe OP said experienced, and so did I. Re: Rebuild starts now
You say plenty of clubs. How many other clubs need a new manager at the moment though? Its all relative.
Managers just want to work, if the moneys right they will take the job.
Stability of tenure? These [SwearFilter] get paid up when they get sacked anyway then move onto the next job, so as long as they are in work and getting paid they aren’t arsed

Re: Rebuild starts now
Because managers of football clubs always believe their own hype - and they like a challenge and always believe this time it will be different. Any manager coming to Barrow will be signing a contract and have some kind of protection so it’s a win win do well get other opportunities do badly and get paid off anyway.
How many managers did we go through the season before Evatt took over - 4 was it ? I’m sure there will be plenty of applicants they probably have someone lined up already
