Had to laugh or cry.

Post by FanzoneFan » Sun Jul 26, 2026 9:43 pm

Before anyone says let it go, move on, I was interested in where some of the players we released in the summer are going to be playing their trade. Sadly not many will be. Four of last seasons squad Connor Mahoney, Tyler Walker, Kane Hemmings and Angus McDonald have been playing for the PFA squad still looking for a contract. Enough said

Only McCann EFL level out of the 4 still in the league. Smashing it already at Cheltenham

Got to agree with that. Like most Barrow fans McCann was the only one I was sorry to see leave.

Footballs a small world and people will know who the bad eggs are. A lot of them brought it all on themselves and I genuinely wish some of them never earn a penny from the game again, shitebags.

For most of their time with us both Canavan and Foley were stand-out players for us before father time finally caught up with them and I, for one, wish them well.

Can’t disagree with that.

I think Sam will still do well at Chester, unfortunately time seems to have caught up with Nial much faster.

I wish them both well.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Saw Josh Gordon signed for Exeter City (L2) on a free. He always put a shift in, so good for him.

He must have a bloody good agent. He might have run around a lot but his end product was woeful and was often booked. Personally I expected him to turn up at a National league North or South side this season as his thats the level, his performances merited IMO.

That is a very harsh assessment

Better than most of the other 'strikers' because he did put in the effort but very limited in ability and an awful finisher. Along with Anderson and Fletcher I'm very surprised any EFL clubs were interested in signing them although, as others have said, McCann has enough ability to find an EFL club and Stanway, although raw, has some potential.

Really poor comments and don't agree. We would of stayed up if the others worked as hard as Josh.
