Losing money on players wages

I wonder how much Barkhuisans wages plus those of earring and kuyoyte are costing the club and how much that wasted money each week is hindering us getting players in.
Murray states there’s players that don’t figure in his plans but he’s stuck with them.
Can they not be forced out on loan to save the club money?

You can’t force players to go anywhere

You would need to find a club that want to take them for starters - then if it’s a loan deal you would need to see how much of the wage they would be wanting to pay so could still end up paying part of the the wage
And even then the player doesn’t have to go if they don’t want to.

You either pay them off (which comes out of the budget anyway so it’s a same rules either way) or you stick with them.

Id imagine barks is on the most say he was on 2.5k probably one of high earners he might be on 1800 now with relegation clause deductions id guess earing and kayoyte would be on maybe 1k ish so not far shy of 4k awk for players we probably wont use, the national league average wage is 1k to 1500 with highest earners at some clubs maybe upto 3k Id say were paying most players average or above in wages, i bet we have a top 7 budget.

Barkhuizen was a good signing on paper and has shown glimpses but for various reasons, out of position, poor team and maybe a bit of disillusion in with the way last season unfolded, he doesn’t want to be here. It’s unlikely now though that anyone will come for him so is there a way back for him?
Kouyate was never good enough and his loan spells even at lower league level show that. Dreadful signing. Earing flattered to deceive and you can add Raglan to that, a bomb scare who we are lumbered with for another year.
Sadly if no one else wants them and is prepared to match their wages here then we’re probably stuck with them. But for that we could have another 2/3 really good players in who would add to the solid looking team that we have, if maybe lacking a little bit of quality.

What about paying them off over time?
Instead of one hit, offer to split it over 2 or even 3 years.
We're still taking the hit but spreading it out would theoretically release funds now so we could bring someone in.
They would have a guaranteed income and could move elsewhere on less money from the new club.

The players hold all the cards in this situation. Of the three Earing Kouyate and Barkhuizen I can see Earing moving on. Barkhuizen at his age and how bad he was last season probably knows he won’t have clubs knocking at his door to pay him what he is on here. I can see him just running his contract down and not playing again
As for Kouyate least said the better imo

The mighty dollar is obviously a major factor.
Kouyate at 22 is at least in the market for a loan and should be, if he wants to continue being a professional footballer.
Earing at 27, the same or a new club altogether. If Murray has told him he’s not wanted, what’s his agent playing at? His current wages might be a sticking point, as he’s not a top quality NL or L2 player and not rated.
Barkhuizen at 33 may be a spent force, and he’s just fulfilling his contract with no hope or desire to go anywhere else.
Can’t blame the players if they’ve families to provide for.

As the PFA training camps show and the amount of players that are still not yet with a club, there is no guarantees that a player will find themselves another club so you can’t blame them for “sitting” on what is a guaranteed income.

You can’t but at the same time if I was a player in that position, I’d want to try all the more to get into the team or at least be involved again. Will be hard for anyone to get a club again after no involvement for any length of time. Earing and Kouyate may get another club albeit at a lower level and not full time, for Barkhuizen this is probably it.

The club should do what any business would do in these circumstances and give the worst most boring jobs they legally can like cleaning properly footballers boots, make them turn up for training and work them hard so they really don't want to be there. If they don't turn up fine them and make them desperate to get out of their contact. Anything is possible if you try hard enough. These are weak people so play on their staying power cos they obviously have non.

In terms of contractual duties I would expect players contracts to be the same.
Your suggestion if implemented would amount to discrimination.
The FA would be all over it.
