Re: Academy
Do we have enough local vetted families that are willing to host these out of town lads….IF we have enough it will solve a lot issues & save the club a small fortune in accommodation fees. PS As every Academy operates on very slim success rates…IE Lads that actually make it, Hope we don’t get f...

Re: Academy
So the facts so far - some person who is new to the forum writes a message and everyone takes all the facts as gospel. Then we hear that a coach of the Under 16s ? has also posted a series of tweets. If the coach is employed by the club, I would say he's not being very professional by airing his gr...

Re: Missing
We last got paid on 16th and 23rd December in our house, with no pay until 31st January and having Christmas and funding 2 kids in-between. Would have loved to have gone last night, but stayed at home watching on TV which we've already paid for. The youngest child went with friends. We went to the b...

Re: Crossbar Saturday
Is that a thinly veiled apology for making a spectacle of yourself on this thread? Most people with an iota of sense thought it was fair, but you had to carry on and on moaning about it Most people who were picked thought it was fair you mean? You must have missed the part where fans have cancelled...

Re: Crossbar Saturday
Had a craic with Ian (SO1990) before. Hes offered a fair explanation on how it all worked. Genuinely do think hes given it the best shot to do all of this fairly. Hes does a lot of unnoticed stuff that is rarely if ever praised or noted. I think we all forget that he doesnt get much help on these t...

Re: Crossbar Saturday
Seriously can't believe what I'm reading on here. We got selected...due to our 10 year old being picked out of the trust members. We attend fairly regularly but are not in any sort of clique, was a pleasant surprise when we received the phone call. Seems to me a former member of this forum that it'd...

Re: Free Tickets for Primary Schools - Barrow Vs North Ferri
The scheme was for "primary" schools, reception to year 6 is primary (ages 4-11). I think provision was made for every primary school child to get a ticket. I know people in reception who got tickets and my lad in year 6 got one (he's 11 in 2 weeks). However, my year 3 lad never got one. S...

Re: Free Tickets for Primary Schools - Barrow Vs North Ferri
You're doing a great job and it's a great idea to hand out all these tickets...it's just a pity the schools haven't bothered to see they get handed out to all children. Some kids who have no intention of going to the game took handfuls home, others didn't get one. I'll be having a word at my lads sc...

Re: Free Tickets for Primary Schools - Barrow Vs North Ferri
One of my lads got one and the other never (both in the same junior school). Some reckon they were only giving them out to certain years/age groups. He was really looking forward to getting one.

Re: So disappointing
What about people who don't get paid until Friday? As a family of 4 keen supporters who haven't been paid for 6 weeks and had xmas to pay for, coming to the soccer on 28th isn't possible. We'll be back on Saturday as I'm sure a few others will be.
