Re: New Manager....

Keith Hill would seem to be a safe pair of hands, might be a decent compromise between having someone experienced enough and may get us to keep the ball on the deck (no idea how he sets his team's up but I don't get the impression it's complete hoofball). I think Challinor would be slightly underwhe...

Re: New Manager....

Would Damien Johnson the Blackburn Rovers Under 23 coach be worth a shout? I do reckon that it should be someone in the Evatt mould, i.e. a recently retired player who has played at a high level or someone whose worked as an assistant or a coach at relatively high level and is looking for their firs...

Re: Ian Evatt

I don't know how many times it has to be said but some of the Bolton fans posting are clearly not legitimate Bolton fans and they should be ignored as they buzz off the attention they get by deceiving you on here.

Re: Ian Evatt

Whatever happens can we please stop falling for the trolls? it is obvious they aren't legitimate Bolton fans and this happens all of the time and people fall for it, whoever it is has done several of you up like kippers again, it works every time.

Re: Title Winning Moment

Fylde at home was the moment as someone not from Barrow it really felt like the town in general was starting to believe; huge crowd that day and we almost won with ten men One of the highlights of the season for me was Scott Quigley putting us 1-0 up in front of a packed Holker Street on Boxing Day...

Re: Brian Arrowsmith

Thought it was very moving and was a fitting tribute, Jean spoke very well in difficult circumstances and was absolutely spot on that we shouldn't let our guard down yet.

Re: Decisions being made

I only know what has been stated in the reports posted. If League 2 can not complete their season then Stevenage get a reprieve therefore only 1 team can go up and even if Play Offs are voted for they wouldn’t happen and as Ian Dennis stated last night I would be very surprised if our play offs tak...

Re: Decisions being made

Is there really a big appetite to deny us promotion apart from a few misguided Notts County supporters?

Re: Highlight of the season

Notts County (a) for my 30th birthday couldn't have gone any better, I don't think it's fully registered how good a win that was and will hopefully sink in the coming years.

But would Bolland fit better into our style of play than the others mentioned ?
I think our current style of football and the way the game has transformed may have worked in Bolland's favour if he was still playing.

Re: Worst Away Days

Probably the trip over the NE in the early 90’s where the game was called off as we’d virtually reached our destination. It was due to a combination of snow and wind, with the wind finally doing for us as it threatened to bring down a tree close to the ground. Can’t remember who it was we were supp...

Re: Worst player ever to play for Barrow ...

Gregg Blundell started at Wembley!!! Still baffles me what I missed as to Makoma getting a move to the football league; people kept telling me he was decent but I couldn’t have it one bit I was a fan of Makoma, technically there was clearly some ability there, I just had no idea what brought him to...

Very sad news indeed, never met him but Steelworks End seemed to be a mainstay on here and seemed like a knowledgeable and likeable sort of bloke, RIP.

Re: Corona

As a global problem it is massive and very serious. Things may become dire here. However, one player quite correctly isolating himself in case he has the virus is a sensible precaution but not in my opinion a valid reason to call off a match. As I said in another thread, if every business took that...
