Re: Heard on the grapevine
Im sure there is plenty of hungry young players chomping at the bit to play regular football that could do a job for us next season. Hope we find some gems like the legend known as Nicky peverill

I think we know ans Skelton should know that he still has a couple of years left in him at a higher level than Evostick Division 1.rockerlad wrote:If what i am hearing up here us true, Celtic nation are putting big money offers on the table for Kyle may and Gavin Skelton.
Celtic nation are a Carlisle based team currently being bankrolled by a multi millionaire from Glasgow.

I am not doubting that, but Celtic nation are throwing silly money about. Just appointed mick Wordsworth and Davie irons as joint managers today as well.Matty wrote:I think we know ans Skelton should know that he still has a couple of years left in him at a higher level than Evostick Division 1.rockerlad wrote:If what i am hearing up here us true, Celtic nation are putting big money offers on the table for Kyle may and Gavin Skelton.

Re: Heard on the grapevine
From reading Walney Rock's posting, thought he was meaning Peverell came from our neck of the woods and was an example of one of the hungry players we could hope to attract.Ste Story wrote:What's that got to do with anything?Ralph wrote: He was a great player, but was born in Middlesbrough.
Re: Heard on the grapevine
Correct, this guy has taken them over and changed their name. Some of the figures I am hearing and £700 a week they are offering players. As I say just rumour up here, but he has been in the local press saying they are targeting two promotions in two years.Hadrian wrote:They are indeed the former Gillford Park.
