Lacey, not Davies.
Thanks, now corrected.

Noticed post match that Edmo was questioned as to whether he was going to try and sign Jackson. He would not say so pointing out he was contracted to Workington but did mention that he would become available later in the month as his contract is up mid-January. Also said Jamie Allen is going back to his club soon and they are looking at trying to keep Rushton.

The last 3 games have been a massive improvement, and I thought on the whole we pretty much dominated today. Listened to Ian McDonald on the radio after the game and he was banging on about them missing a shed load of chances, but really? They had those 2 chances early on in the second half in quick succession but other than that I can't remember them creating a clear cut chance. I'm not saying today was pretty, and we're far from out of the woods yet but I thought we completely dominated for large periods of the game.

The players I've been most impressed and probably surprised with over the festive period have been Duran Reynolds and Richard Davies, both have been excellent. Reynolds has been an absolute rock the last 2 games in particular, and Davies has worked tirelessly. Paddy Lacey too has really stepped up and started doing what he's there to do, not just with his goal today. I'm also becoming more impressed by Ted Cribley each time I see him play, he wasn't outstanding today but he's certainly got ability and from what I've seen so far I'd be keen for us to keep hold of him long term.

I'm certainly feeling a lot more positive now than I was a couple of weeks ago, if I've got a major concern it's probably that we do still look shaky defensively.

Nice to see a decent crowd at Holker Street again, and as we appear to be improving, slowly but IMO we are, let's hope the crowds continue to be around what was there today or at least last Saturday.

Third from bottom now so let's hope we keep climbing.
everyone is entitled to their opinion, deal with it

They got clean through on the left in the first half and the lad pulled his shot about 10-15 yards wide of the far post with 2 players begging him to cross it. McMillans excellent save at the death was about the only other clear chance they had. They played some decent stuff at times getting up to the edge of the area but then their options seemed to vaporise, they choose the wrong option or had it taken off them. I would agree that Barrow dominated large parts of the game and the only time Workington were really on top they had those chances cleared off the line. How many times have Barrow dominated in the past and failed to score during that time, then gone on to loose?

I thought Cribley was very good today, two assists, I know May slipped on it for the first but he still put the ball there in the first place. Put in a superb cross that should have seen Barrow go 1-0 up much earlier in the half, Rushton put it over the bar. Even won possession back after an excellent tackle in the 2nd. Reynolds was imminence today and saved the day with that header off the line. Also gave us another (re Alty) pile driver of a free kick that the keeper struggled to handle. Little got past the back four. Thought the new lad Tom Corner applied himself pretty well drawing a good save from the keeper, he tipped it over the bar. Clearly lacking match practice but won a lot of headers and had a good powerful shot on him, useful. They all made a few mistakes here and there but were consistently better today.

Delighted with the win in very heavy conditions.

McMillan looks happier and confident

Eddie who I like I thought was poor today

Reynolds excellent again..O Donnell, better than he has been

We are starting to win the ball in midfield. Lacey and Davies looked decentish and Harvey was industrious (that's 3 decent performances and counting) Cribley will loose the ball and frustrate bit will also excite as he has a few tricks and can cross.

Rushton busy and certainly looks a player at this level and the tall new boy battled well. Crowd got into it in the end.

Have to disagree with that. Thought he was very shaky today. Kicking was miles off throughout and don't remember him claiming one cross. Also got cocky by letting the ball hit the bar which rebounded to there attacker, should have pushed it over.

Although his throwing and early distribution was good at times today and worked well.

His kicking will probably be down to his injury but overall I have to agree with Steve, looks pretty good to me.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
