Really good turnout this morning with plenty being done.
Ian red van joiner & Peter Nichols cracked on with the press box upgrade by putting more of the frameworks in, including the first ceiling panel - nothing major but just a little milestone that shows how things are progressing.
Ian (RVJ) also helped John M with the doors to the disabled shelter which seem to have swollen & were sticking a bit, they had to take it off & plane it back.
John M put the new lock on the cellar door which another director had broken by not so gently trying to open it with a hammer!! No names mentioned but he's the one who works in a bank.
John also helped out with a few of the new signs that had to go up & he did some temporary repairs to one of the turnstile roofs that had blown off. We'll have to get back to some of the turnstiles as they've really took a battering the last couple of years by the weather.
Ian white van joiner was still working on the shuttering for the concrete base for the new toilets when we left & doing a far better & quicker job than we could of done. We'll look at ordering the cement shortly.
Myself & mrsenorita played with some of the boys toys

We used the Sthil saw for cutting the lines in on Vaughans car park then mrsenorita appeared with his white saftey helmet on with ear defenders attached & cradling the new jack hammer, like a man possessed he attacked the tarmac (I thought he was going to end up in the Tally Ho car park)
We actually hit the original brickwork from what must have been part of the old stand, although I can't really remember it going back that far - either way, it'll been some time since them bricks will have seen daylight.
Steve Patten mentioned to me yesterday that the away directors door looks as though it's been tampered with by screws being removed from the handle casing, this was also fixed today. Seems to be a constant battle fixing things people have tried to break or get into at the ground.
Whitty 1969 connected the new light in the GMA & sorted the conduit that carries the cables for the turnstiles on Wilkie Rd, this had to come down for now as the car park wall will start to get dismantelled within the next couple of weeks so we can re-use the blocks for the wall & new toilets.
Exile was supposed to be in charge of Whittys Daughter on litter picking duty but apparently Emma took charge after about five minutes, so already learning what women do when they get older
Exile also said he learnt a new word "mingy" but said he thinks she was on about the litter & hoped it wasn't meant to be describing him!!
Andy & Andy (seriously) carried on with the covering of the players tunnel, they've put most of the sheets up that will cover the bottom half & will then look at getting the perspex fitted on the top half. It's looking pretty good even though it's not finished, they've also supplied all the materials themselves which has obviously saved us a tidy amount.
Daz Curtis (college tutor) came down to check on the scaffolding to make sure everything is in place for his students to make a start next week on the car park wall.
On that note, thanks very much to Mark Mc for supplying the scaffolding, just what we needed & again saving us money.
Special mention to Chris (and Layla, his Daughter) who isn't a supporter but loaned us his Stihl saw & supplied the new blade & fuel.
All in all, a really productive morning with plenty done.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
