Sorry to say Edmo must take a lot of blame for another inept performance and team selection.
Why was Walker taken off,surely the enigma that is supposed to be a footballer Van Den Broek , who imo should never have started,should have gone off at halftime absolutely waste of a shirt.Midfield as per usual terrible only improved when ARH came on and then Cowps improved.
Penalty taking was terrible both from Cook and Grimes and they couldn't even score from rebound.
Its same old ,same old and not going to get people into Holker St.
There are some good players on our books but present management do not know how to / or will not use them correctly.

Played well as has been siad on this thread a few times.

Well he never played well. He fits in with the humping it forward to no one.

Symington....poor. Cowps.......shocking......van de broek.......well what can I say. One of the worst footballers I have seen for some time.

I'm still fuming at Walker being taken off for Wilson when it was clear for everyone that VDB was awful , the way the game was going shifting to 3 up top (with ARH on for Haworth also) would have been more beneficial to us we were still looking 9 times outta 10 for the hoof to Cook

I think they were booing taking Walker off Al and leaving Van den what ever on the pitch. Certainly weren't booing Wilson.

Boylie. Booing was not for Wilson going on it was for taking walker off when players like VDB was [SwearFilter] poor.
Wilson looked dangerous when he came on. I look forward to seeing him play a full game

The people who thought Symington had a decent game today must of been a different game to me! was it his dad doing the radio commentary??? Their goal was largely down to him and I just can't understand why we persist in playing makeshift fullbacks when we had a ready made replacement for George Williams in Brad Carroll!!

I was another one baffled by the Walker substitution,the game was crying out for a change so Edmo got that bit right but Benji v d broek was the one that should of made way for the Wilson inclusion pushing Jason out wide. The first half was a poor advert for a game of football it was woeful!!!

Saying that we had more than enough chances to kill off the game in the second half with the two penalty misses and another earlier one waved away that was as clear cut as you will get.

Ashton stood out a mile as man of the match, Wilson looked lively and I hope Andy Cook doesn't beat himself up too much over his penalty miss!!

Terrible, terrible first 45. If this is meant to be entertainment I must be missing something.

The hard brutal truth is a third of this squad are not any where near good enough, can't make up my mind about Mellor, Grimes or Fofana as we just simply haven't seen enough of them to form a proper opinion.....and they were supposedly the three big signings of the summer!!
As much as I like Pilks, he's getting to the stage where he's now just tying up a wage.

Substitutions were one again bizarre. The lack of any sort of effort in the first half was alarming.

As someone has already said, if them two pens had gone in it would have only glossed over some really big problems within the squad. While I'm on the penalty situation, Cookie is not a natural penalty taker, I don't blame him for wanting to take them with Jase (the sacrificial lamb) not being on but I hope he never takes another one for us....it's just bang down the middle and hope for the best. The keeper spoke to a defender just before the pen was taken and I'm guessing the defender said hold your ground because it'll come straight at you.

Cookie's goal was fantastic, I was right behind that and it really does show how much he has improved over the years - just not at taking pens though.

Big decisions for Edmo to make in the coming games, the pressure has to be mounting, and I honestly don't like saying that about the bloke but the tactics are bad, entertainment is nil, some signings are absolutely shocking and most substitutions are baffling.

I know that whitty, but just disagree with booing regardless of the circumstances.

Cooks goal though, what a strike.

I remember watching Ashton interview when he signed, he said s he sees him self as a pen taker with a good record.
Hindsight is great but as a senior player why didn't he step up.
