Need to make sure we are in this league next season before planning squad building for it.
Popular side since '03.

No club with any sense at all would pay a 6 figure fee for Rhead.

Rhead and Cook would be an absolute battering ram of a strike force, if you thought the football wasn't pretty under Edmo........
The worrying thing is (Cook aside) we need a full new spine of the team and five figures isn't going to sort that if they keep discussing play off bids for next season

After listening to that tonight (Halifax) I would hope Coxy's on the blower tomorrow looking to bring Otis Khan back on some sort of deal to the end of the season. He really did bring something to the side and we are missing him.

I like Jack Mackreth wouldn't mind seeing him back with us even if it's on a loan until the end of the season. If we could also do a deal with Sheff Utd for Khan until the end of season that would be great seeing those two as our wide men. That would be that bit of quality we are lacking going forward. All we need then is another central midfielder a solid defence and a confident goalkeeper.....no problem!

Agree, I don't think he would be worth 6 figures, but I think 6 or very close to 6 figures would be needed to convince Lincoln to part with him. Like Blue and White says he is Lincoln's main chance of getting anything this season. They don't want to loose him, their entire long ball game revolves around him. ;)

Lincoln manager says Rhead is not going anywhere he is happy at Lincoln, but then this is the same manager who spoke to Hearn's agent, when Hearn said he didn't have an agent. Does he really know what Rhead wants?

BTW Rhead is in the first year of a two year contract.

If Briscoe is a target I'm pretty sure he is another one that has got away, Wrexham local press say he will sign by the end of the week.

Makes you wonder if we could have lodged a bid for Bogle at the start of the season? Maybe we did, who knows?

Maybe we could try looking at the league below us and see who is scoring regularly there. Shouldnt really be any contract issues and clubs at that level will welcome transfer fees.

http://www.lincolnshireecho.co.uk/Footb ... story.html

30 goals last year and 15 so far this year. Arrived at Boston from Grimsby

Heavily scouted , top scorer in national league north Dayle Southwell is attracting lots of interest.

"We had almost 40 scouts at the game last week (against Curzon Ashton) and after that goal he'll probably have put another 40 on the gate," said Greene.

"He's getting a lot of attention, but he's still got a lot of hard work to do. He's enjoying his football here and I'm sure he just wants to keep enjoying his football with us.

"His move will eventually come at some stage. I just hope it is at the right time in his career and not too early."

“There were a few other bits and bobs and other offers, but when I spoke to the manager here and my representatives they sold it for me really. I want to give myself the best chance of staying professional as long as possible, so there was a couple of offers on the table, but this is the one that I wanted to come to."
