Not the vast majority but potential there perhaps? I wish they would attend regularly but over the years they only tend to when the big match is there. There are folk who have never been to a home game but went to Wembley and.

Agree. The communication or lack of could be enhanced. Any organisation should have a media strategy and seek to update etc. It's all very quiet ....why?

Those people don't go to games unless it's a third round fa cup or big club trophy tie. Not supporters by any means but fair weather falsies who attend and act as though they're regular fans. Room 101. When they're there easy to spot as don't know players names..... the number eight is crap........can't find the toilets....don't know what beer is on at the bar...usually surrounded by similar "fans" who to draw strength via each other. A rare species only to be seen at holker street when there USA glimpse of glory. Room 101.

Sorry, but that is deeply patronising to people who, for whatever reason, do not live around the corner from Holker Street and can only get to a few games each season. Do all supporters have to go in the bar before a game? Those who do live nearby and only attend occasionally might have other commitments or, maybe, they just can't afford it every week.
I'll bet each week's crowd is a mix of absolute regulars who can afford the luxury of turning up to every game (do they all know what beer is sold?), those who make the effort whenever they can and those who turn up out of interest and are waiting to be converted if they enjoy what they see.

How many statements do we need? We've had one about Paul Cox leaving, one about Moore's position and the vacancy, one about the community side and Paul Ogden's resignation was nothing but an evil rumour.

No it's a valid point imo. An extra 5500 people can find the money to travel to Sunderland/Middlesbrough, with the added costs of travel and expenses. An extra 2700 people made the Rochdale game at home in the 3rd round of the fa cup. Town is fickle, there are plenty of people with the cash but no loyalty or desire to support a local sporting side until there is a spectacle to see

Yes there are the fickle and bandwagon jumpers, but I think the simple fact is there are plenty of people out there that simply can not afford to come on a regular basis. Let's say it's around thirty odd quid after a few refreshments to watch a home game, double that for an away game. Putting that sort of money aside would pay for a holiday for many and that's the choice many have to make.

It must be difficult for quite a few setting out. I know I couldn't of afforded to come every week with a mortgage/rental fees + starting a family and all the bills associated with it.
There's many with those sort of commitments that will push the boat out as a one maybe two off so called big games in a season but can't manage on a regular basis.

I agree with that. Football is too expensive everywhere. And when you go to 10 games to see one special one, it's no wonder it tests people's resolve/desire.

Not going to make this political but there is an ever increasing number of people who will have to make the choice between eating and heating this winter. In work or out of work. Football is going to be very low on the budget hierarchy. I'd personally like to see at least a couple of pay what you can games a season to allow people who wouldn't normally be able to afford the ticket price to attend.

I know the club isn't a charity bit if it's serious about being part of the community then there is a certain social responsibility attached to that.

Very true. With many people not getting a pay rise for the last 7 years and ticket prices continuing to go up every year it's not surprising attendances are down.

I understand there are a lot of people in the town who spend a fortune each week getting on coaches to watch Premier games out of town.

Those people can clearly afford it and we need to try to attract some of them for some games.
