I agree. I'd be far happier if he came out and said finances aren't available to match his original ambitions which is nothing to be ashamed about. To come out and say that everything in the garden is rosy when it obviously is merely insulting the intelligence of most people.

Re: Casson
No, i would not want to be told something not entirely true just for the sake it. That's the exact thing that has caused most of the disconnect between some supporters and the club.

Re: Casson
Do you think the update yesterday was issued without his knowledge?
It all comes 'round again.
Re: Casson
No but it would be much better if he'd been visible personally recently rather than letting junior give out the bullshit.

Re: Casson
He writes a column for the programme and the club issued an update yesterday ( no doubt authorised by Paul Casson)
Other than pop to your house for a cuppa what else do you want.
I'm not saying everything is perfect but what more do people want.

We would be well and truly [SwearFilter] without Paul Casson.

Which sadly is the way of the world, they all do this in all walks of life except, Us, the people.glasgow_blue wrote: ↑Tue Sep 19, 2017 11:39 amWasn't aimed at you or anyone in particular Davep. The point is, do you honestly believe Casson is going to tell the supporters th full honest truth? He will always give the politicians answer. Transparency? Only in what he want's publicised.

Re: Casson
Sorry Dave but this is part of the big problem with the disconnect, You ask for information/statement, You get one, then you call it bullshit!!! & you wonder why they don't say much?

Re: Casson
mickmike as you well know I'm a strong Casson supporter to use the old cliché we went to school together BUT where is he? Nothing from him in what is probably one of our worst periods in recent years.
What his son said was indeed cosmetic bullshit whether you like it or not. It said a lot and said nothing at all.
I will not defend the indefensible. the owner recently has treated the fans like dummies and the response he will get is fans voting with their feet by staying away.

Re: Casson
Sorry again Dave but i'm struggling to understand YPOV here.
1, Rightly or wrongly in many folks eyes he has placed Andrew in charge of operations.....Yet you expect him to fly over personally to what deliver a statement?? Why does he have too as he has Andrew in place to do these type of things.
2, Any Statements by Footy clubs, Are all Company line policies full of waffle & piecemeal its the same with Business, Politicians, Organisations etc
3, How the heck has Casson "Treat the fans like Dummies" We don't know what's gone on with the club & cox but the club have to deal with cox quitting on You, Me, the Club, all of us..........People today baffle me.....Holty with ZERO experience seems to be the popular choice yet MM with enough experience isnt??
Holt might want a kings ransom to come here, MM is already here on a contract etc
Plenty of fans were warming to the way the team were trying to play football & entertain you & we were unlucky at both Fylde & Tranny, Then we came up against a Cox motivated Guiseley where the only winner was the weather & last Saturdays terrible showing vs Torquay & everyone's going out of their minds, Yes it was a horrible effort by us on Saturday.....it happens from time to time, A little luck here & there & we could be in the top 10 & not having this conversation.
I know very little about MM, But the poor lad has been thrown in at the deep end with a squad Cox brought in to play giants hoofball & MM is working with the hand cox handed him, I can not recall us ever having an injury crisis like we are now suffering with an already thin squad etc.
MM wouldnt be my choice but if he gets the job I would give him enough time to enable him to really put his stamp on the team & how it plays before questioning his ability.

There's this remarkable thing mike, called e-mail. You can communicate with people all over the world from the comfort of your own home if you wish.mickmike wilson wrote: ↑Tue Sep 19, 2017 4:54 pmYet you expect him to fly over personally to what deliver a statement??
I do, however, broadly agree with the point that Andrew Casson IS the MD or whatever he is, so there's nothing wrong with him delivering the statement, the discussion in that instance should be whether or not he should be/is a good MD.
Re: Casson
If he gets the job I will not be going much because he'll just be a cheap option and he is not their manager than Cox which is what they said they were going to bring in and for the statement yesterday I'm with Dave We all know the money is not there Trying to tell us everything is rosy in the garden when we all know it's not

Re: Casson
We will just have to disagree won't we.
My fear is the constant disconnect between the ownership and the fans will continue to reflect itself in falling gates and that will only end one way.
Yes his son is directing operations BUT again he has absolutely no history of running a football club, enough said.
Do you really think the whole saga this season of Cox and his departure and his successor has been handled well? I don't.
All bluebirds are blue.

Re: Casson
Really there is, so glad you pointed this out to me, I wonder if PC knows of this wonderful invention & communication his view point to his CEO/MD/OM/Whatever to make a statement!!!! Patronising much....Ste Story wrote: ↑Tue Sep 19, 2017 4:58 pmThere's this remarkable thing mike, called e-mail.
