Lets look at some FACTS:

Conference North Promotion
Pitch redone and maintained
New floodlights
Cross Bar and Reception area refirbished
Old toilets removed
Main stand shot blasted and given a name based on history
Training base found and links developed
Players bought that are of a good enough standard to play league football (sold to league clubs).
Boiler replaced
Marketing manager installed
Community Sports set up expanded
Top half finishes in the national league.
Increased social media presence.
Pre match ticket sales.

Ongoing projects:
Website to increase online revenue including ticket sales and merchandise.
Plans currently being drawn for new stand.
Registration of interest to Barrow Council to take over the lease of the Ormsgill playing fields and convert into a 4G training facility.


That's a lot of money and a lot of long term investment in my eyes. A lot of these things are investments for the future of the club.

I'm sure that as the Cassons have gone along, their plans have changed and lessons have been learned. Fylde and the like may do things one way but that doesn't mean to say its the only way. He may be finding out that its costing more than he thought and wishing that he hadn't promised so much so soon, therefore cutting back, assessing things and re-prioritising? If he is, then surely that's strong leadership?
