No, it was a season of hard work. Wouldn't have Edmo back though.

Re: Casson
4 points off play off when sacked - promoted in first full season. Dissapointed with replies gents, I would encourage you to be subjective, instead of regurgitating the same old "utter bullshit blah blah" Not connected but always knew this day would come, Edmo delivered fact, he wasn't long ball, his possession play delivered a 43% uplift on Cox's passing completion. Look at the data
. P.S look at the annual AGM, Edmo's budget was 5th highest in the division, so again let's get the numbers right. Players signed - Otis Khan (Casson / Cox said he wouldn't make it), now top scorer at Yeovil, Nick Anderton (££££), Andy Cooke (Top goal scorer the year after at Tranmere), they bid for Bogle but Casson said no!!
Re: Casson
Khan was never our player. He was on loan and then his club sold him to Yeovil fact.
Cook without the E
We took back after he'd flopped.
Anderton signed by Paul cox in may 2016.
You clearly don't know what you're talking about in those terms.
As for Edmondson....well not worth responding

Re: Casson
Khan was signed on loan with a fee agreed - are you a supporter or someone who has too much time on his hands? Nick Anderton the same / Edmo set up both deals, not Cox, ask Casson himself - wow, you are why us Barrow fans get such bad press. Tell me why Edmo is not worth responding? He knows the club, he knows how Casson operates, he has a win ratio better than the last 4 Managers, he relates with the fans, he played for the club?? This really does show the immaturity and lack of knowledge within this group. This is why after supporting Barrow for 17 years I struggle with our forum. You watch our club start to breakdown and all of us will crave for an Edmo character. Good night, god bless x

Re: Casson
No,it was us getting more points than Fylde that won us the league
how we get there i don,t no.Barrows on the way
Re: Casson
Is this true? A 43% uplift in passing completion? Edmo should be reinstated right away!tomrossbass wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2017 9:04 pm Edmo delivered fact, he wasn't long ball, his possession play delivered a 43% uplift on Cox's passing completion. Look at the data.
Seriously though, Edmo had the biggest budget ever seen in Conference North, and once in this division we seemed to be going backwards. He's as much chance of being the next Carlisle boss as Casson has becoming the next President of the USA.
Re: Casson
+ he had loads of clubs fighting for him like the mighty Bradford PA. If he was that good he'd be 1st team manager somewhere long agoMoribund wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2017 10:47 pmIs this true? Re: Casson
Appointing Micky Moore was probably the cheapest and only option Casson had considering most half decent managers already have jobs and are on contract which would be difficult and expensive to sort out. A previous post on Sutton being a family orientated club, what connection has the Barrow football team got with the town of Barrow other than they play their home matches in the town. They don't train here, they don't frequent the bars and supermarkets. One man ownership of football clubs especially at non league level never works because of the high expectations these owners have. When we got Edmondson from Workington Reds we were bottom of the Unibond Premier, in a season and a half we won promotion to where we are now by playing decent football. We have never played football since,

Another newbie praising the work of Edmo? Where were you when he needed you???Jimby wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2017 1:08 am Appointing Micky Moore was probably the cheapest and only option Casson had considering most half decent managers already have jobs and are on contract which would be difficult and expensive to sort out. One man ownership of football clubs often works, even at non-league level - Forest Green, Mansfield, Fleetwood, Doncaster, Fylde even.
Pretty sure no clubs benefit from having their players "frequent" the local supermarkets. Bizarre thing to say really.
