If only Liverpool had said that to Kenny Dalglish...
I get the argument but realistically, isn't he southern based. On a good whack at Kings Lynn with settled family. Hard to ascertain how serious he was and equally we hardly broke the mould to try and get him (or anyone other than Moore for that matter, for which we are now paying)

Even without the experience argument I just can't see the stars aligning on this one.

I would be very wary of John Sheridan

How was his brother turfed out of the place? I've never seen any quotes from him saying he was hard done by

He wouldn't come anyway

If we are looking to have someone with better than Paul Cox , who btw should never left the club or been forced out, then we have three people who are experienced and have better stats than Cox who had a win ratio of 42.1 % from 280 games/ 118 wins

Mills 42.8% 949 games / 406 wins
Wesley 45.9% 893 games / 410 wins
Brabin 47.3 % 207 games / 98 wins

So as they say in financial investments past performance is not a guarantee of future results ,however it's not a bad indicator

Whoever we choose there will be objections from within our own support and fans of clubs who these guys have managed but any of the above at least have a track record.

Mills is my choice because he has done this before in getting a club to the football league and he likes to play attacking attractive football too if possible .

Big decision but it's not a time for a rookie IMO.
Always with the meaningless stats. How many of those seasons have those three managers that you've cited been in the same division? I'm guessing not many.
Also the percentages don't mean a lot unless there's some context to who they were managing - to put that simply, a boss of Burnley with a win percentage of 35% is more impressive than a boss of Man City with a win percentage of 45%.
It gives no indication of the style of football, nor if they're capable of motivating a struggling bunch of players.

So to say those three are better than Cox because they had a handful more wins is just nonsense.

If you're using stats to decide who you want as boss, then you're naive at best.

If anyone really thinks Darren Sheridan was hard done by, then they clearly have no idea what went on.

I agree. Would not come anyway. Our reputation amongst players and managers in the game at the moment isnt the best. Let alone a fella whos managed league 1 coming in and hoping all will be fine.

Aii cos Sheridans own reputation in the game must be sky high, what with his street brawl while at Oldham, sacking for gross misconduct at Notts County, rumours about alcohol and gambling addiction, ...

I am astounded that some people are overlooking Mills inability to keep York in this division with the supposedly third biggest budget and a more than adequate playing squad. We need a manager who will grins out results rather than trying to play pretty and losing regularly.
Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.

If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

Not sure who else realistically is out there and available to us within our means other than who's on the poll. One thats been mentioned but not in the poll is Graham Barrow, achieved success at this level and above and a wise old sage and I think thats something we need right now, a bit of wisdom. + we already have a few songs with his name included. :D

On who's available would be far and away my first choice. Solid Non-league experience as a player and as manager at Chester where he is revered.Gained League experience at,amongst others,Wigan under Roberto Martinez who wanted to take him to Everton. He declined out of loyalty to Wigan.
