The building has started!!
Re: The building has started!!
Agree Dave we should have replaced Dunne. Out of the combinations with Diarra, ie Livsey, Nieskins and Dunne we now have the weakest combo with Audel & Diarra to see us through and there is no cover if either gets injured as far as I can see.

Re: The building has started!!
Well its quite evident we are cutting costs and playing budget.
Re: The building has started!!
Not likely to be signing anyone at the moment who thinks they may have a chance of a move, permanent or loan, to a league club.
Possibilities, perhaps, when the league's transfer window closes (on Wednesday evening)?

I wouldn't have thought we are cutting costs, more than likely shifting the players that AP doesn't rate .
I'd much prefer just avoiding relegation with who we've got and loans rather than spend on panic signings just to keep the fans happy.
Then we can bolster the the ranks in the summer with a better budget.
At least I hope this is what's happening.

Re: The building has started!!
The decline has started!
I don’t think I’m a negative person but I think we can all see the signs of disenchantment, lack of investment and steady all round stalemate at the FBSS. Paul Casson has given it his best shot, provided a good level of investment but ultimately did not have the conviction or wherewithal to properly re-build Barrow AFC to the standards we have seen at our neighbouring football clubs.
Had Paul not stepped in when he did the club would have folded and the Supporters Trust would in time have re-formed the club at a much lower level. However, I believe that is exactly what is going to happen within the next five years.

Literally couldn’t agree more.

Spot on ,it's a case of protecting his investment till he can get rid.Wintergreen wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2018 3:40 pm The decline has started!

I think he came in and as above gave it a go .
When he offered a deal at the beginning of the season on season tickets I told my mate it's the start of realising assets on the back of what was achieved last season.
We sold the best players and now are running a team with a small squad with no sign of a centre half or midfielder.

Re: The building has started!!
If we don't improve this squad we'll struggle to avoid relegation pennock must realise the squad has no bite and no creativity and God knows whose going to score the goals, all we get is absolute crap spouted by Andrew Casson he's deluded with some of the quotes he comes out with he talks as though we're a premier league team.Cringle wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2018 1:18 pm I wouldn't have thought we are cutting costs, more than likely shifting the players that AP doesn't rate .

What's happened to the 5 year plan and the legacy?
Now Ians gone we have no dialogue or contact with the club instead of being involved we all seem to be an inconvenience no wonder people have stopped going if we go down it will be a disaster but Andrew Casson keeps burying his head in the sand !

Here's another spin on it.
Paul Cox Spunked the budget with large signing on fees and inflated wages. Budget for season gone.
Enter Ady Pennock. Budget gone for the season and continuing low crowds that we hadn't budgeted for.
"Ady, keep us up, but you will have to wheel and deal with players as Coxy has Spunked all the money for this season"
PC is hardly going to release extra funds to help us achieve a bottom half finish at best.

It will be very interesting to see which/how many players arrive this summer. The Casson fan club keep blaming the budget cuts on Paul Cox, we’ll know if that’s true come the end of August

Re: The building has started!!
How long hs PC had the club - 3 years, 4 years? Anyone who goes to Holker Street regularly: Look around at the next home defeat - has anything changed significantly in all that time? Are we any nearer league football and a £10million stadium?
And if we end up back in the Conference North (which is looking increasingly likely) - well this is exactly where PC came in.

Why build a 10 million pound stadium for 1000 people?Wintergreen wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2018 7:01 pm How long hs PC had the club - 3 years, 4 years? Paul Casson said (I know ) that Dallas Cowboys )were poorly supported and they needed to change things so they built a new stadium with added attractions to get a cross section of the community involved in getting into the match day experience yes I know larger population etc. But what he was saying is opposite to your logic so I believed in his theory so I like a misguided fool waited for Holker street to be developed, fylde Salford Fleetwood numerous other teams have redeveloped their stadiums in its present state unless they are a diehard fan how could you convince someone to come here and get [SwearFilter] wet through or freeze in a wide open stand which should have been extended to the crossbar end to keep out the elements!mr_grey wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2018 7:21 pmWhy build a 10 million pound stadium for 1000 people?Wintergreen wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2018 7:01 pm How long hs PC had the club - 3 years, 4 years?
