Might as well give Phil wilson and matt henney a call while your at it!!!! Bayliss over rated and no good. People like to look back at past players and managers with gold tinted glasses. He had a gob and a temper but his record speaks for itself!!!!

Moore was shite, pennock isn't much better, and we have a pretty dreadful squad. How does the club go forward? I think we may just stay up but if we go down I can't see a way back up instantly without throwing a lot of money at it.
This, pretty much.

I reckon Pennock’s got more about him than Moore but we need points on the board or it’ll be academic if Solihull keep racking up the points.

Pennock has had time to weigh all the players up now and has probably given them a little too much time.

The club need to act NOW to bring in the necessary players to ensure survival etc otherwise both Pennock and the owner are clearly the ones to blame for total failure.

Our crowds are already pretty poor and if we sink back into the Conference north I think we'll drop like a stone to the glue league and beyond.

The faithful supporters who have been there through thick and thin are sadly dwindling due to age and growing families and if the owner can't grasp what is needed to drag in younger fans for now and the future I see no hope for the club. He talked about Holker Street being a family day out whereas in reality it's a shithole.

Time Paul to "put up or shut up " financially. You can either invest a lot more money and go for it or keep talking but not walking and watch the club slide on a downward spiral. Do you really want that for your legacy?

The local lad who came back to rescue his home time club promising £10m investment and failed to deliver.

Sad if that's the case.

All the fans want is honesty.

Really in despair reading some of the comments particularly those from Rigger/a former member of this forum. How many times do we have to go over the same old ground. Apparently there were all sorts of reasons why Paul Casson was disillusioned with Paul Cox and if even some of what I have heard is correct I would have been reluctant to advance any more money either, easy to spend when it is not your cash. As someone mentioned on another post the players who went to York instead of us did not do much for them so that looks like it would have been a waste of money, one could say well done the chairman for acting in the interests of the club. It makes one wonder why the high turnover of players. What was the reason?
The last thing we needed was to blow money chasing an elusive promotion and end up in difficulties like Peter Ridsdale did with two clubs. I don’t know how much Paul Casson is worth but I would rather he ran things sensibly and thought of the long term future of the club and, as I hope he is doing, give a budget that is able to provide hope without compromising our lofty position in the national league.
It does not look great at the moment but at least we are trying to improve our position and have brought in a management team and new players who need to be supported to have any chance. Understandably the criticism mounts when we struggle in games against teams who are our direct rivals to stay up so it looks like the moaning, sorry constructive criticism, will be continuing for a while. However, going back continually over what should have happened is a waste of time, forget it move on.

Williams Bennett Anderton livesey Beeley tell me who we have brought in who is better than any of these players ?even arh hasn't been replaced .
I admire your loyalty but please don't insult our intelligence by trying to say we have a decent squad it's too small and lacks leaders and quality!

Back on topic, Pennock has given some underachievers too much time. People within the club who have been given an easier ride than they deserve are fresh out of excuses- I have heard a number and am in no mood to hear another remix.

The club made a decision to target players who they felt would become the next Jordan Williams, Bennett, Anderton. There was a clear message from the club that this was the way we were going to operate in the player market. Bring them in- develop them here, get them in the shop window, get the transfer fee. Mutually beneficial. That was Paul Ogdens role- to scout the potential talent and bring them to Barrow. Unfortunately it hasn't quite gone to plan. Instead of replacing Williams, Bennett, Anderson, we ended up with a team that has struggled to gel and get anywhere near the levels we hoped of them at the start of the season. Players like Akil Wright, Shaun Tuton, Ross Hannah, Beeley, these are bloody good players and we should have aimed to secure them And build upon last season that way. Instead- Far far too many changes over summer.

Weve all heard the stories. Not sure who to believe youve got the table at the front who apparently have a line in to the Cassons. Youve got the ex employees saying all sorts. Add the storys together i think you get Cox had the cassons on a bit of a hook. When the found his line they pulled the plug and are warey of every one in football these days. I think they want pennock to prove himself before opening there wallets again i think!!!

I don’t know what the hell went on between Casson and cox, if someone wants to enlighten me and others feel free by pm, but at the end of the day he’s gone and we are in a dire situation. Shit players, most of them, and the management team aren’t setting the world alight either. I hated cox’s style of football but you can’t deny we were in a good position league wise

...get the transfer fee and replace with players of similar ability, yeah? But we didn't.
And that's why it hasn't gone according to plan.
So what happened to the money we obtained from those transfer fees? Anyone know?
It certainly hasn't been spent on new players!
