The transfer-listed players are part of the numbers until they move on (bear in mind they might not). If someone does move on, a vacancy is created for someone else then to move in.

Surely you don't expect the club to double-staff the squad in the hope that all will work out?

Go out and enjoy the sunshine!
No, I don't expect that. I expect the players who were not deemed good enough to be replaced and not for Casson to indicate they are part of the clubs future.

'Go out and enjoy the sunshine'.. What a weird lad you must be.
True, at this stage i wouldn't expect them to be counted as players for next season as we are actively trying to offload them.
Come August if a few are still here then they will be used as they will be contracted and given a chance I presume.

Yes, Casson is acting like they are part of the clubs future. We either want them or we don't and I think most people were under the happy understanding that we would be starting from scratch. Now we are 'planning for life with them'

Having said this, I'm suprised no one has made an offer for yet Gomis or Jones.

They’re probably on too much money for the standard of player that they both are.

My concern is that key players like Gomis and Jones, Diarra will commence training with us only to move on on the eve of kick off leaving us short. Not ideal prep.
"To achieve anything and to get to the Football League, we have to expect to win every game. I've got to get everyone believing that we can, and I will work hard to embed that mentality into the players, the town, the board and whoever else” Ian Evatt.

Diarra is not contracted to Barrow afc, so if he doesn't sign a new contract why would he be training with us.

Ok, take Diarra off the list. The point is, better all round for any transfers to happen before the new man comes in or as early as possible to give more time for him to know where the gaps are and get a settled side.

‘Hopefully by the end of next week we will have a preferred candidate.’

@BarrowAFC Andrew Casson says he hopes to conclude the search for a new manager in the next 10 days. https://t.co/zJfTk9xa3q
