Re: New Manager
True, at this stage i wouldn't expect them to be counted as players for next season as we are actively trying to offload them.Mark Johnson wrote: ↑Fri Jun 01, 2018 12:50 pmNo, I don't expect that. I expect the players who were not deemed good enough to be replaced and not for Casson to indicate they are part of the clubs future.Hadrian wrote: ↑Fri Jun 01, 2018 12:29 pm Why ridiculous?
The transfer-listed players are part of the numbers until they move on (bear in mind they might not). If someone does move on, a vacancy is created for someone else then to move in.
Surely you don't expect the club to double-staff the squad in the hope that all will work out?
Go out and enjoy the sunshine!
'Go out and enjoy the sunshine'.. What a weird lad you must be.
Come August if a few are still here then they will be used as they will be contracted and given a chance I presume.

Re: New Manager
Yes, Casson is acting like they are part of the clubs future. We either want them or we don't and I think most people were under the happy understanding that we would be starting from scratch. Now we are 'planning for life with them'Steeley wrote: ↑Fri Jun 01, 2018 1:10 pmTrue, at this stage i wouldn't expect them to be counted as players for next season as we are actively trying to offload them.Mark Johnson wrote: ↑Fri Jun 01, 2018 12:50 pm

Having said this, I'm suprised no one has made an offer for yet Gomis or Jones.

They’re probably on too much money for the standard of player that they both are.Mark Johnson wrote: ↑Fri Jun 01, 2018 1:37 pmHaving said this, I'm suprised no one has made an offer for yet Gomis or Jones.
Re: New Manager
My concern is that key players like Gomis and Jones, Diarra will commence training with us only to move on on the eve of kick off leaving us short. Not ideal prep.

Re: New Manager
Diarra is not contracted to Barrow afc, so if he doesn't sign a new contract why would he be training with us.
Re: New Manager
Ok, take Diarra off the list. The point is, better all round for any transfers to happen before the new man comes in or as early as possible to give more time for him to know where the gaps are and get a settled side.boyliegladbach wrote: ↑Fri Jun 01, 2018 2:29 pmDiarra is not contracted to Barrow afc, so if he doesn't sign a new contract why would he be training with us.

‘Hopefully by the end of next week we will have a preferred candidate.’
@BarrowAFC Andrew Casson says he hopes to conclude the search for a new manager in the next 10 days. https://t.co/zJfTk9xa3q
