It is a total misunderstanding
We have the clip of the comment which was made which was complimentary of ian evatt and the way he plays.
Someone has got the wrong end of the stick and mixed up what he said.

We needed that second goal because we were under pressure - great win onwards and upwards
It amazed me that within 15 minutes of the final whistle he knew what the "co-commentator's" views had been. Does he really get briefed on what BBC RC say so quickly after every game?!
It all comes 'round again.

Our fourth home win and still in September !eqyal to whole of last seasons home victories.Surprising what you can do on “a much reduced budget” take note Pedro. We missed Granite which was a disruption but I think we coped well enough.I like all the passing football just wish they would cross it but earlier sometimes and not try too much to get the perfect ball in.Just impatience on my part when we seem to get to box then come back again sometimes.Good crowd won’t be as large Tuesday night so we must all make more noise for the boys.Good result all going home smiling.More of same please.😊

That must have been the youngest Barrow side I've ever seen yes we lost our way but they never stopped chasing and I always thought we'd get the second goal people mustn't forget we have a lot of players playing out of position and it's still the best football I've seen in year's well done Ian Evatt and Co. !

Bit out of order for Evatt to react. He should be confident in the way his teams plays, despite what anyone else says (even if Goody did say this!)

Evatt probably needs to hold his hands up and apologise to Goody.

Agree totally, listened to John on radio before the game - he was full of praise of our passing football, comparing it to the dross play of last season - don't know where Evatt's been given that wrong info from.

It wasn't a great crowd it was a good crowd. It would of been a great crowd if you and me were there! ;)
Great result though and a clean sheet. Hope those that went enjoyed it and are eager to return.

Great 1st half, probably the best we've played this season in the way we got at them, shame we never killed the game off in that period.

Not sure if it was the way they changed or just the fact we stopped passing the ball short, seemed to play more long balls out today than we have so far.

All 11 puta shift in and I'd be looking to tie Davies uo for longer than a month if possible!! His run for the 2nd goal was class and a great finish from Smith. Brown and Taylor stood up today in Granites absence as leaders.

Tuesday should be a good un against the Heed

I listened to the whole commentary and I didn't hear any criticism of the playing style by John Goodwin. He's always been very positive about the way Barrow are trying to play this season.

Great first half and we could’ve been one up in the first couple of minutes but for a decent save by their keeper.
We let them into the game a bit too much for comfort in the second half, but between a combination of some poor finishing, the odd decent save and some last ditch defending we (this week) managed to stop the run of late goals against us.
I thought Taylor had a very good game, we’ve been crying out for someone like him in midfield for years, a great signing.
Once again some fantastic football to watch which will hopefully drag a few people back through the gates.

Witnessing some of the stuff we’ve seen the last few years seems a lifetime ago now.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Yes James Phillips’ interviews are far too long but of course he is Gods gift to commentary so it doesn’t matter. Barrow and all other Cumbrian teams pick up the crumbs that he’s gracious enough to leave between 5 and 6 o’clock.
