They've had some recent trouble in the town, not sure whether it was other club coaches stopping off en route to or from games or whether it was Chester/Chorley ill feeling that seems to have rumbled on over the years. Probably need everyone to be extra vigilant.

Yeah think it was the council who had the idea of 'banning' football fans.
Its usually a good stop of place for away fans going to Bolton, Blackburn etc. Which was apparently causing issues.

It was one Councillor who quickly clarified that football fans were welcome but they’d appreciate a bit of notice so that pubs can be prepared - laying on extra staff etc.

Last time we visited their ground some goons tried to board our coach at the traffic lights. Until they realised we were going to introduce ourselves. Cue 15 or so frightened rabbits running for the hills...

Don’t park on the Asda car park near the ground. I did last time we played there and got a hefty fine. Thought it would have been ok on an Easter Monday. I was wrong. My fault. Just saying. Still Asda [SwearFilter] though.

There’s a 3 hour limit at Chorleys Asda. You must have parked there for longer.
Not sure if it’s the same at Barrows Asda as I don’t park there.

Fair enough to protect business and their customers from folk who can't be bothered to walk another 200m to park.

Just a word of caution for those planning on driving next weekend, Chorley town centre gets pretty busy on a Saturday anyway (free parking after 1pm will encourage that - take note Barrow BC!) and you can sometimes struggle to park. There are fewer spaces available then usual due to building works now under way on the main Flat Iron car park.

If you do want to risk parking on a supermarket, Morrisons, especially at the far end from the store, is likely to be quieter than Asda, but I don't know if they have cameras etc.

Genuinely gutted to be missing this one but following major shoulder surgery I don't think it would be worth the risk given the trouble they caused last time.

We could really do with a good cup run to get the Furness sporting public a good reason to take a look at this new team & the prize money is always welcome, home we win through then get a decent home fixture.
