I would welcome a discussion of new ground share between the football and rugby. Cannnot fathom why two struggling clubs continue to overlook this option whilst operating out of dilapidated old stadiums.

The benefits of a ground share surely massively outweighs the negatives, Should have been done decades ago IMO.

If my memory serves me right it was planned to happen in the 70’s with a new all sports stadium to be built on Ormsgill playing fields but the council refused and wanted it built on contaminated land down at the old Furness Railway site off Salthouse Road.

Or am I just dreaming !

Surely if any ground share came about the way forward would be to sell Holker Street and Craven Park and move to a new purpose built stadium which would have plenty of car parking and conference facilities.

+1 we need a modern stadium that needs less maintenance. Add a gym and 3 G pitch etc to raise money on non match days

If possible a shared stand between back to back pitches.

House prices are the highest they have ever been,more expensive cars being driven around than ever,tradesmen in the town have never had so much work.Back to the football,we have had [SwearFilter] all for years and survived im sure we can continue in that vain,hard times yes,but some good times along the way. Plenty of money in Barrow. Just a case of getting people to spend it at football.
