Re: Agustien gone
Thing is he’s not wrong about the negativity from the terraces but that’s been there as long as I’ve followed Barrow. The older folk on the pop side have to accept we are playing possession football this season so shouts of “bloody cross it” won’t make any difference
Re: Agustien gone
And they're the same people that complained about the Cox 'hoof-ball'. Don't take it personally Ian - this is the reality of Holker Street.HenneysKnee wrote: ↑Sat Jan 19, 2019 6:59 pm Thing is he’s not wrong about the negativity from the terraces but that’s been there as long as I’ve followed Barrow. Disagree with barrowfan
Evatt spoke sense and I agree with the club's stance.

Re: Agustien gone
Fair play to evatt for saying what he said, he's got an agent but suspect he's seen nowt like these lot.
Can't be held to ransom by the scum agents. Kemy wanted to stay. Tossers wanted money.
It'll be that ponce that use to to hang about in cross bar and ask people what they thought of kemy

Re: Agustien gone
I liked what Ian said in the interview, you can hear the passion within and everything he said was Bob on!
Kemi, what a shame he has an agent that tries to be bigger than the player and the club.. advice to kemi, kick his arse till his head hurts and then tell him to do one!
Fickle fans, negativity and lack of oomph! Must be hard to get his head around us lot, last home game there was a real buzz around the place, there was a thousand more in there and we really were the twelfth man.. and today, yeh the weather was shite but where are all those that turned up against Salford? Football was below par but did the team deserve the negative criticism?
The young lad. Well again, he couldn't be arsed and showed lack of respect to Ian, his teammates and the club! So fair play to Ian for telling him to do one!
Ian wears his heart on his sleeve and wants nothing but the best from everyone, so shouldn't we be reacting in the right manor and get right behind the lads, make fbss a fortresses?

Re: Agustien gone
Good for Ian Evatt I say! The club had a deal in principle with the player by the sounds of things only for the agent to try and screw a bit more for himself at the eleventh hour. Shame greed has scuppered what could of proven to be a good deal that suited both parties. Can it be turned around well Kemy has to nail his colours to the mast and convince a guy who is supposed to be acting in his players best interests that mistakes have been made and he is adamant he wants to remain here for that to stand a chance. Has too much water gone under the bridge I don't know but always remain optimistic that the greater good will shine through in such situations.

Re: Agustien gone
Thanks for that, and interesting as you say. A meaningless exercise in self justification.
A worthless piece of paper to sign. Who has any sanction over these individuals? What are the sanctions, even if they exist?
“Proper” professions have stringent sanctions - doctors, lawyers, dentists, vets, accountants etc are struck off for dodgy dealings, and correctly lose their livelihood
Being a football agent is NOT a profession. It’s part of the make up to try and create for themselves a status they just do not deserve.
Re: Agustien gone
Yes he is still commenting today on Twitter , even after what was said on the radio. . Any opportunity for him to try and stick the knife into the club..still be upset over the Fylde results

Notice on the agency's twitter site they say they have expenses to meet.Hitthebar22 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 20, 2019 4:25 pmThanks for that, and interesting as you say. A meaningless exercise in self justification.

Not so many if their agents want to charge travel and hotel costs to the football club!

Re: Agustien gone
Just answering my own question about sanctions over agents, and I’ve researched it a bit....seems the FA are significantly involved; there is an interesting list on their website about “intermediaries” (a posh name for agents) who have been banned and why.
Re: Agustien gone
All very well talking about breaking down defence with clever passes, but there weren't any, we simply played sideways and backwards for most of the game! I applaud Ian Evatts intentions, but in this particular game there was just no end product, and he would have done better to acknowledge that rather than criticise fans for showing understandable frustration at the lack of chances created.

Re: Agustien gone
He would be better off doing what he should be doing and finding his player a club to carry on playing. He can't be that good of a scumbag er agent er intermediary if he can't do that. Perhaps all of this is to cover up his own shortcomings. They should be banned and made to earn a living off their own talents not someone elses.
