Needs to grow up. His son is obviously not good enough. Evo stick league this season then back to the West Lancashire league with Hawcoat park next season....

Sam Graham the son of the boxer Bomber Graham.I think Evatt said he was released by Sheffield United.

'Released' or a possible loanee ? Spent the second half of last season with loan spells at Halifax,Oldham and a spell in Australia. Get the impression he is still at Bramall Lane but may be wrong.

Think there’s got to be a bit of balance regarding Nathan. Let’s not forget he came in our hour of need and did a decent job for us. Unfortunately got injured and played through the pain barrier until he could no more. He didn’t get a deal for whatever reason and Darren you have to accept that and move on. No need for all the mud slinging. Act with a little dignity for your sons sake. I have a son of similar age who I love to bits, but sometimes you have to stand back support them and let them move on and prove their worth. Hopefully Nathan will do just that don’t ruin any possible return at some stage and let the lad develop and enjoy the gift he has.

A bit unfair on Nathan to assume he was in agreement with anything his dad has done or said.
I bet there isn't an offspring around who hasn't been embarrassed by a parent at some point in their lives.
He was overjoyed when he signed for Barrow but maybe he is happieir playing both football and cricket and if the former is at a lower level so be it.
He never gave less than 100% effort when wearing the shirt so thanks Nathan and good luck.

Thanks for clearing that up Adam. Thought it strange they would release a lad who was being pursued by Everton around 18 months ago.

We were much better 2nd half, second and third goals were well worked and more like us last season. I worry if Taylor is out for any length of time but it's early days.

it's early so it is difficult to tell with most of the new players but here's my view so far having been to all 3 matches so far;-

Dominic Greaves - will be a big player for us this season - arguably our best signing.
Scott Quigley - will score goals given the service - wether that's 10 or 30 goals remains to be seen.
Brad Barry - an improvement on Connor Brown defensively and gets up and down the wing well - will run all day.
Patrick Brough - a tough task replacing RND at left back.
Morgan Penfold - quite like the look of Dangermouse, not afraid to take a man on and not afraid to cut inside on his right foot and shoot which is how he got his goal against Furness select (yes the keeper should have saved it).
Dior Angus - does look good playing on the right and has pace to burn, needs quick service from central mid or central defence.
Mark Waddington - the least impressive so far, but i think that's partly down to fitness and being compared to Taylor. Did play a great through ball for Hindle's goal against Wukkie though.

of the trialists;-
David Fox has impressed in midfield - great range of passing
Byron Harrison - hasn't had a sniff of goal yet, but looks interested and links the play together well - time will tell as to wether he re-signs or not.
Sam Graham - got a bit of stick on here - got caught trying to overplay out of defence a couple of times - but that could be taking Evo's instructions too literally. Very good in the air and positionally good too. his long range passing (with the wind) to Josh Kay was iffy - but his passing out to Dior Angus on the right wing was near perfect.
