It's just one game and not an indicator of how our season is going to work out, but what disappointed me was that the story of the game was so familiar from last season - dominate the first half, miss chances, concede a goal just after half time then lose our way.

Towards the end of last season, though, I think we got better at getting a goal away from home then playing with grit and determination and holding on to the lead. Early days and, as Evatt mentioned , Leyton Orient lost their first 4 games last season (and Chesterfield won their first 3), so anything could happen in the next 45 games! I guess the time to worry will be if we are not showing form and consistency after 10 or 12 games.

Quigley is obviously Blyth's younger, less-gifted brother. Problem position already.
The back four are too slow and we need someone with a bit of pace back there.
The manager wants to lay off the match-officials and get tore into the shirkers on the pitch.
Don't want too get carried away however two mid-table teams served up a mediocre match.
The major worry for me is the way we wilted, these are meant to be professional footballers, match-fit and ready to run for 90 minutes.
Can't be tired already can they?

Here’s a stat for you and I’m sticking it in the match thread because that will give it the most visibility. Of the 30 goals scored today in the National league 14 were scored from headers either delivered from set pieces or from wide positions. Defences up and down the league guilty of being out fought and beaten to the ball by the forwards. Key to success in this league right in there folks

Dismiss the point by all means, but you see it week in week out all over the games. The successful teams in this league are the teams who can deal with that delivery into the box. 14 goals scored this way today, with gilt edge chances missed everywhere.
