He said that he was "disappointed that Barrow have gone down that road". But it's okay for him to tell the press whose bids he's turned down for Danny Rowe... What a hypocrite. If Evatt went there, he'd not have a single well-wisher from Barrow, I'm sure.
Do either of you (or anyone) have a link for this? Thanks.

Improved contract signed. That's why you don't panic until official word is made! 😁

Fantastic news. Will go down as a Barrow legend no matter what he does but really hope he’s the man to guide us back to the league (which I have never seen!)

Credit to the board for realising how important Evatt is and making more money available to acknowledge this; would have been very easy just to say we can’t offer a higher wage

Great news and a very good move by the board.

I'm assuming that the board will have upped his salary to counter act Fylde's approach.

When you have a manager who is showing great ability at an early stage of his managerial career this type of approach is always likely. Great that our current board have again shown great faith in him.

At some stage Ian Evatt will leave us and that will be because he has been offered a managers position for a team even as high as the championship.

Until that happens I believe he is our best chance ever of returning to the football league after 47 years of topsy turvy life in non league football.

It's been a roller coaster ride for sure but that's why we follow our fantastic club!

Onwards and upwards and keep us moving forward Ian Evatt.

If that’s what you heard, that’s what you heard. Ultimately, Evatt’s loyalty and the BoD’s resolve have been tested and found to be of total commitment to our cause. Heady days.

Excellent move by the board. Wasn't really concerned. When he does move it will be upwards.
