EFL are waiting for the Prem and will need to cooperate for that £1.2m per club somebody mentioned earlier. Everyone else will just have to wait...

Looks like the Prem may finish at neutral grounds but that the price to pay for acceptance may be no relegation. EFLs position would then be very much dependent upon whether they could persuade the Prem to increase division size for a period. Different set of negotiations entirely.

They are on about playing the Final premier Games in Australia ,fulfilling TV commitments and not having to hand money back.
Quite feasible maybe Perth as no other big cities near it so easy to keep ground clear of spectators.

If they have no relegation but 2 promoted that will mean Championship will be 4 down 6 up same for div 1 & 2 and 3 up from our league or is my maths wrong?

The talk is 3 promoted from every EFL Division with no relegations so next seasons leagues would look like:

Premier League - 23
Championship - 24
League 1 - 23
League 2 - 22 (23 if 2 come up from national league)

Good luck sorting that out the following season

That mix would be truly psychotic and would definitely prove that the lunatics were in charge of the asylum. But who knows. I just find it difficult to see the Premiership taking in three more teams even for a season - without that is changing the Premiership format. Perhaps like the SPL. Top ten play each other after so many games. The rest battle to stay in the division. Maybe. At the other end I'm not sure 22 is enough especially if we are looking at no paying customers until January.

22, 24, 24, 22 makes far more sense
no relegation from the premier league, championship, L1 or L2
2 up from Championship and L1
3 up from L2
Barrow up from NL

Abandoning the League Cup, any FA Cup replays at all, every international game and all mid-season friendlies for the next 2-3 years will help get it all back on track without the footballers whining that they are 'tired'.

The obvious problem with no relegation from NL and only Barrow going up (to replace Bury) is that there are two feeder leagues below the NL. How would you decide whether the club that is promoted to the NL to replace Barrow should come from NLN or NLS?
