I believe that wasn't far off the deal they came out of administration with.
So a year ago they owed the best part of £9 million.
Now given there were companies who had a hold over them and will have demanded an almost immediate full repayment [ i know they had to settle in full with the company who had padlocked their training ground ] like the electricity supplier etc and the football creditors of course, the first money they had available will have gone towards paying those creditors and probably just as they were starting to get on an even keel and making small but regular payments to those that have shown them forbearance the pandemic will have struck throwing it all into chaos again and if you were one of those companies willing to throw them a bit of slack in those circumstances you will almost certainly be changing your minds when you realise that rather than bring their accounts up to date they're about to spunk 250k on buying out the contract of a non-league manager.
