Simple solution. Barrowboard says to Bolton either put the money on the table by date x or sod off and let him start planning Barrows season. All this speculation is doing is preventing prep work for next season

Problem is that people tend to anticipate the explosion rather than sort out the problem. And collateral damage affects everyone. Would badly damage the relationship with IE.

Looks like they're using they previous experience of tapping up to avoid implicating themselves. Using their media, derisory offers etc. They're trying to unsettle him and get him for as close to nothing as possible.

As I am a bitter and spiteful person I'd rather see him put on paid gardening leave (assuming Evatt tries to force our hand) until Bolton pay up what they have been quoted. I never minded Bolton as a club but now they can [SwearFilter] off and [SwearFilter] off some more.

Bolton are a big club and a massive challenge but if he goes there I can't wish him good luck we are in the same league

Not sure why people think managers/players should be loyal when the football fans are so fickle.

Maybe he would've got a free pass next season if it doesn't go well with it being the first season in the league in quite a while.

But if he'd started poorly in the National League and we were lower mid table come March. Fans would be calling for a change. The club would be looking to get rid.

Last season we only won 1 in 7 of the first games we stuck with him.The mask slipped when he slagged off John Goodwin for comments he made about a game we had lost he was totally out of order.

There is not much loyalty in football .
He praised this new Board compared to the previous owners and he is rewarded us by dragging us through this twice Fylde and now Bolton.
If you listen to his interview on RC he said Oyston would not accept over a million for him which meant he lost out on money then he got injured and his contract was not renewed.

Evatt has every right to go but let's not have this say one thing do another

He was all for finishing the job at Barrow,maybe he will go into politics next.
Hopefully he goes to Bolton and we get the cash and he gets his just deserts

That’s exactly it mate, everything will be on hold and even if he stops here we’ll be weeks behind where we should be.
If he goes we then have to advertise the role, interview suitable candidates, pick one and he then has to go recruiting....what a nightmare!

As stated previously, his agent is obviously in this to make as much money (for himself) as possible! Wouldn't mind but looking on his recruitment site he's not even football specific! OK if you want a job as a plumber or HGV driver though!

Frustrating as it is, the more time goes on the more pressure there is on Bolton to start lining up someone else. Their position becomes weaker, Paul Hornby's position becomes stronger. Judging by how long this has gone so for I'd say things are not going Bolton's way.

Agree we have come such a long way together in such a short space of time, it’s vitally important we continue that momentum into the football league showing unity.

The board and indeed the supporters have risen to all challenges put before them heroically and if as expected they need to search out a replacement then I am sure the board will find a more than suitable one to find us stability and who knows what else

Nice idea, but wouldn’t have thought our budget stretches to paying two managers at same time.
