Take the Jones injury, a simple statement along the lines of “Jones will be undergoing a scan to determine the severity of his injury” would’ve sufficed, followed up with the injury he has suffered and the likely timescales he’ll be out for.

Why give the opposing team an advantage by knowing a player definitely won't be playing in the next game and allowing them to prepare for the match accordingly? Or allow the player to have the particular part of their anatomy (ooh er) that was injured targeted by a strong challenge when they return? Or potentially reducing their value in the transfer market? Or not even looked at as a transfer target as they are seen as a crock? The players will be back when they're back. Can't see the fascination myself.
Covid has stopped us getting to games but the lack of communication is killing it further.
Last year we were all in it together ,but these tactics are creating us and them

How does it make you feel to know that you voted for this?
Re: Platt injury
Well I am not the only one who is dismayed at the lack of information ,as recently stated the update on the Jones injury was first displayed on his former clubs forum says it all.
Re: Platt injury
A post on Monday lunchtime presumably BEFORE the scan or results. Pure hearsay and speculation. Beginning to think negativity is a side-effect of coronavirus not recognised by the experts because it is running rampant on this forum.

Re: Platt injury
This may be a naive suggestion, but instead of complaining on this forum, why doesn't someone raise the issue with the fans' representative on the Board?

The extent of Jones’ problem is being established. Manager Dunn said: “He’s been for a scan [on Monday] so we’re just waiting for the results. It doesn’t look too great to be honest, it was a real awkward landing from the lad. But looking at Yoan [against Leeds], you can see the pace and physical attributes he possesses. He’s a little bit raw, but my God he can move.”
(Article from Tuesday, comments from Monday evening).
That's fair enough, can only give the information he had at the time and depending on how long it takes for the results of a scan to come in he might not know any more even now.
Certainly more info than was shared re: the injuries to Brough or Ntlhe, who could be back next week or out for several months for all I know.

It's a side-effect of being from Barrow.

Re: Platt injury
Might actually start playing out now instead off just drilling a ball 40 yards to centre backs

Re: Platt injury
Hope he recovers quickly, been very impressed. Thankfully it's an area of the pitch where we have good strength in depth.
No estimated timescale provided but depending on the extent of the damage (sprain, tear, rupture, etc.) he could be out anywhere between 4-12 weeks.
So minimum information provided but I still appreciate the update from the club - it's much better than complete silence.

Re: Platt injury
Barrow Afc have just released a statement regarding the state of our injured players

Moan on here and a good response from the club. Sorted
Just say no to VAR
