Agree. Ardley had a good spell managing Wimbledon establishing them in Division 2 over 3 seasons before winning play off final in 2015/16 and then keeping Wimbledon in Divison one for thew following two seasons before struggling in season 3 when he was sacked.
Not sure what people expect when recruiting a new manager for Barrow. You have to remember when Evatt left the club approached two people they wanted to be manager but both turned the club down. Dunn offered himself up for the job.
Like it or not the two mentioned so far Adam Murray and Neil Ardley is about the level that would be interested IMO. Like players Barrow is not on many managers experienced at EFL levels list of clubs they would like to manage.

There will be plenty to choose from, who wouldn't want to make a name for themselves and help grow the club. I hope the interviewing panel includes some football people because they got the last two choices wrong

I'm a fan of the board, and their enthusiasm as entitled supporters. Having significant quantities of dosh obviously counts for a lot, with us and any club from PL to NL. Look at us with the Cassons (even Pedro couldn't deny that Evatt coming to the club was more than significant because of them). A clear and simple analysis is that the important decision regarding who is appointed as our next manager rests with the board, and only them. I'm totally convinced that they are passionate about the club,. No doubts about that at all. My only point is that recently they have made a balls of it, twice. Yes, Kelly was a significant but short term saviour. Perhaps this time careful consultation with "footballing" people e.g. Kelly and hopefully a number of others who really know what's required in L2 will get us the right sort of manager to consolidate the club and move us up in many ways. Rhetorically, are the board sufficiently football savvy to get the right person in?
