Re: Potential signings
We do need options but I thought a midfield of White, Banks and Devitt would suffice, if they stay fit of course.

Re: Potential signings
If Brad Barry isn’t coming back then how about playing Jaime Devitt there,he showed last season that he can defend and with a good pre season could get up and down the right side and with the space on the flanks he has showed that he can deliver good quality and his final ball is good for this level and he is also able to deliver a goal scoring threat so with the Cumbrian Carlos on one side and Devitt on the other we would be a threat going forward

When did Devitt show he can defend???Broughton Fan wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 8:23 am If Brad Barry isn’t coming back then how about playing Jaime Devitt there,he showed last season that he can defend and with a good pre season could get up and down the right side and with the space on the flanks he has showed that he can deliver good quality and his final ball is good for this level and he is also able to deliver a goal scoring threat so with the Cumbrian Carlos on one side and Devitt on the other we would be a threat going forward

Re: Potential signings
All gone a bit quiet hasn’t it? What happened to the ‘one or two’ Coops alluded to possibly being completed by the end of last week??
Isn’t the close season pants though. Hopefully some news to come out in the next couple of days and perhaps details of the new season kit??

Re: Potential signings
One of Banks and Devitt would be O.K. but not both. As has been said, I think we need another good central midfield player to play alongside White although maybe they think Mike Jones will be the man. Personally, I think he has the same problem as Banks in that he doesn't get around the pitch enough. I would expect that there will also be a couple of loan signings at some stage.John_Bucks wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 8:21 am We do need options but I thought a midfield of White, Banks and Devitt would suffice, if they stay fit of course.

Re: Potential signings
We have got quite a few central midfielders in the squad so might have to make room if we want to sign more. We are lacking in other positions in comparison. We have 7 on the books currently.HenneysKnee wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 8:07 amWith centre mids the priority really; tbh we need two that you would plan on starting alongside White
Assuming that Cooper is planning on playing some form of 4-3-3 with him saying about Kay playing a different role
Think we need full backs and wide attackers more urgently.
Ollie Banks
Tom Beadling
Jamie Devitt
Mike Jones
Jason Taylor (Player Coach)
Tom White

Re: Potential signings
Fair point but personally I’d prefer we get the spine of the team sorted first and let’s be honest ours was pretty much weak as [SwearFilter] most of last season. Need a leader alongside Platty and at least another one alongside WhiteJammyBluebird wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 11:29 amWe have got quite a few central midfielders in the squad so might have to make room if we want to sign more. Re: Potential signings
The asda lad tells me we are about to splash the cash on another league 2 player under contract
Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.
If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.
