Quigley Replacement?
Re: Quigley Replacement?
I doubt it is Jamma after all, seeing as he was in action for FGR against Cardiff City and scored their equaliser! Kinda gutted as he looks like a real baller!

Re: Quigley Replacement?
It was never going to be him
That was just someone with a bit too much time on their hands putting a post on twitter

Re: Quigley Replacement?
I have enough faith in the board by now that we won’t be starting the season with Luke James as one of our main attacking options; we’ll get a Quigley replacement at some point

"we’ll get a Quigley replacement at some point".........yes, I cant see Cooper hanging about.HenneysKnee wrote: ↑Wed Jul 21, 2021 7:39 am I have enough faith in the board by now that we won’t be starting the season with Luke James as one of our main attacking options; we’ll get a Quigley replacement at some point
Re: Quigley Replacement?
Are we sure about this - Was Zanzala not the Quigley replacement? In the same way that we brought a new keeper in before Joel left.mall wrote: ↑Wed Jul 21, 2021 10:29 am"we’ll get a Quigley replacement at some point".........yes, I cant see Cooper hanging about.HenneysKnee wrote: ↑Wed Jul 21, 2021 7:39 am I have enough faith in the board by now that we won’t be starting the season with Luke James as one of our main attacking options; we’ll get a Quigley replacement at some point

Re: Quigley Replacement?
If Mark Cooper thinks we need another striker I don't think for a second the board will stand in his way. He will also have enough contacts to make it happen.
Don't let the old man in.
Re: Quigley Replacement?
think the manager is looking at bringing in a central midfield player , hes happy iup front with zanzala and co, so my spies tell meMisterPleasant wrote: ↑Wed Jul 21, 2021 11:06 am If Mark Cooper thinks we need another striker I don't think for a second the board will stand in his way. Re: Quigley Replacement?
Why was he bothering trialling a striker yesterday then?stub wrote: ↑Wed Jul 21, 2021 12:15 pmthink the manager is looking at bringing in a central midfield player , hes happy iup front with zanzala and co, so my spies tell meMisterPleasant wrote: ↑Wed Jul 21, 2021 11:06 am If Mark Cooper thinks we need another striker I don't think for a second the board will stand in his way. Re: Quigley Replacement?
Funny you say that how many off the top 10 strikers have now been bought or going too be bought mendes gomes , mullen , quigley ….Moribund wrote: ↑Wed Jul 21, 2021 2:15 amYou were arguing that spending big is more a guarantee of goals - it's not. The freebies are usually (almost always at this level) just as good, you just need a manager that knows what they're doing with them.PerthBluebird wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 11:48 pm
Re read what I wrote again and have a proper look at your top 10 then 3 usual ticks boxes apply too most.

Re: Quigley Replacement?
we need another striker, Zanzala is still not as consistent as Quigs, James offers nothing and Gordon still finding his way after injuries so anyone who's happy with that scenario, don't moan if we're struggling again !

Re: Quigley Replacement?
Luke James always gives 100% when he’s on the pitch. He was Barrows best player in a few matches last season.
Unfortunately he doesn’t score enough goals which isn’t great for a forward.
Did Cooper show him the back door at Forest Green?

Re: Quigley Replacement?
We could probably knock up a golf stand as a short term measure alongside the main stand. Not ideal but it would serve the purpose temporarily. Blackpool had one for 3 or 4 years when Bloomfield Rd was being rebuilt in the 2000swhitty1969 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 9:17 am Last time I looked we were about 850 seats short of been compliant.
Re: Quigley Replacement?
Anyone find out who the trialist striker was?
Re: Quigley Replacement?
So what you're actually saying is that signing a free agent can also be a good investment? Glad you finally agree.PerthBluebird wrote: ↑Wed Jul 21, 2021 3:46 pmFunny you say that how many off the top 10 strikers have now been bought or going too be bought mendes gomes , mullen , quigley ….
Re: Quigley Replacement?
Spot on 'blue nige'.
It'd be such a tragedy if we struggle again, on the back of all those season tickets sold, for want of a proven goalscorer.
