Mrs P made my mask and, believe me, nothing will get through that!AugustusCorpa wrote: ↑Sun Jul 25, 2021 11:19 am You won’t have to produce a letter for the Hartlepool game.
Most masks are useless as the virus droplets are smaller then the holes in the mask material. They’re just a comfort blanket for people who’ve been scared to death by the government.Theres quite a few on here by the sounds of it.
Don't let the old man in.

Life is always better when it's better
Re: Double jab
Creating a massive societal divide for something that's not gonna harm the vast majority of the public.
Re: Double jab
If taking a few minor precautions helps to protect a vulnerable minority, then I'm all for that... If that makes me a coward, then I'll proudly get that put on the back of my shirt.
I'd rather be a coward than a selfish moron!

Re: Double jab
I've just read on teletext where a lad in California was ridiculing the vaccine, making jokes etc encouraging his 7,000 followers on social media to do the same and after a month long battle has passed away with covid related pneumonia.
I wonder if he still felt the same as he breathed his last?

Re: Double jab
What about the minority; maybe you might have a friend or relative that you could pass it on to? Any views on that? Particularly if they ended up in intensive care.
Re: Double jab
Exactly! It's not about you, or the others at the football, work, park etc... What about your vulnerable relatives, the older adult you brush past in the supermarket or walk past in the street. Trust me, there is a world beyond the end of your nose! Have an little common sense and social responsibility!Hitthebar22 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 25, 2021 3:31 pmWhat about the minority; maybe you might have a friend or relative that you could pass it on to? Although, I'm just a coward, what do I know.
Re: Double jab
The type IIR fluid repellent masks are the most effective in general use and are used in medical settings and care homes, although others have been shown to be effective as well. Any face covering is better than none in the same way that covering your mouth when you cough is better than not doing. It minimises the spread of virus particles. Just common sense.AugustusCorpa wrote: ↑Sun Jul 25, 2021 11:19 am You won’t have to produce a letter for the Hartlepool game.

I've just used one from Euston as train was ram packed.
Uncomfortable but that's after 4 hours

Re: Double jab
This was part of a press release I received from Cumbria County Council last Friday.
Covid infections surge as Cumbria on track for worst ever week.
New COVID-19 infections exceeded 3300 in week ending 16 July, the second highest on record for the county.
Provisional data indicates that the record will be broken this week with the overall case rate for the county hitting 660 per 100,000 population (660/100k), compared to an England average of 507/100k.
Hospitals in the county have also started to come under more pressure because of increasing COVID-positive patients being cared for.
Across the county’s two NHS Trusts there was a 43% increase in patients in hospital in week ending 20 July, up from 31 to 54.

Re: Double jab
Not getting into politics, all the vulnerable are double jabbed now so should be safe. Dont create a divide for no reason and punish people who dont want a jab from doing things they want.Hitthebar22 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 25, 2021 3:31 pmWhat about the minority; maybe you might have a friend or relative that you could pass it on to? Also if my friends or family members are so at risk they shouldn't be going to places where they are susceptible to this deadly virus that is killing millions by the day..
Re: Double jab
Again and again if you don't feel safe don't go. If you get there and aren't comfortable leave. I have had both doses but if someone asks me for proof at the ground I will tell them none of your business and if I am refused entry then they can keep the season ticket and I will give up attending matches at the club I have supported since 1965
