I believe at the very outset it was made crystal clear the the CEO would have no involvement in the playing side of the club....hence his non involvement in finding training facilities
I don't see what a deal to lease or purchase some land has anything to do with the playing side and is exactly the sort of thing a CEO should be involving himself in. Whereas what the hell anybody could imagine an SLO would have to do with acquiring some land for a training ground god knows.
"The CEO would have no involvement in the playing side of a club"... A CEO of a football club deals with all aspects of it, because everything is centered around football. The fact that this CEO has not been able to find either a physio or a training facility speaks volumes for both his football knowledge and business knowledge. No physio or training facility just days before the start of the season?? This club is now amateurish at best, and it is sad to see how quickly it has become a shambles.

Not sure about this but it would seem that various positions in the club have been 'created' and then filled without formal advertising so we have a shortlist of one!

Apologies if this is not the case but that's how it seems. I stand to be corrected.

Current CEO was the cheap option. A BAE employee who was a fan. Experienced CEOs for EFL clubs cost money and its only lately those appointed in back office roles have come from clubs with EFL experience.

we are meant to be moving to a facility in Bury - but until that's ready i think we are still training at Witton Albion's ground.

Apart from the week in Scotland we have been using Witton Albions ground for training since the start of pre season.

Cooper again mentioned that we “aren’t where we want to be, undercooked, trying to get as many people fit as we can for the next 4 weeks” in his interview with Adam after the game

Which is farcical, I bet he wasn't happy with playing Holker so early without any minutes under their belts our club has to take all this on board !

How would they play their first friendly with 'minutes under their belts'?

I meant training but I think you knew that ,funny how you always pull people up but come up with absolutely nothing to offer regarding any issue ,perhaps one day you'll lead from the front but it's so easy to sit on the sidelines criticising

Copper rarely if ever looks happy when being or not being interviewed. Thats his natural demeanour.

No, I didn't know that was what you meant however, in that case, I think you might have known from the club's website and/or social media that training started on July 2nd, some minutes before the Holker Old Boys' friendly on July 10th.

Cooper said they started training on the Monday 5th 5 days isn't nowhere near enough to get anywhere near playing a game hence the injury to Zanzala!, I know it was only Holker but it still isn't ideal, why do you think he cancelled the Spennymoor game,? the guy's no fool !we're supposed to be a league club ,some parts of it are still stuck in non league, a bit like some people on here!

My mistake. When I checked the club's website it tells us they started training on July 1st and shows an image of the players doing so.

You ask why I think 'he cancelled' the Spennymoor fixture. Like you, I don't know but tend to accept things at face value, the reason given being (unspecified) injuries. Others wonder if it was because we weren't in a position to provide physio cover

Your deflection from the subject yesterday was to make a personal comment, a tactic often used when people are unable to substantiate a statement (yours was "I bet he was unhappy to play Holker", etc.). Perhaps you could look back through my last 10, 20, 50 posts on here and see how well they back up your comments about my activity on the forum?

If your final comment last night (Some people...") was aimed at me again, it does seem as if you have little further to offer in substantiating your argument.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
