I'd have taken a point at Bradford all day long. Watch highlights and we could easily have scored a few more. Hutton poor defending for the goal and i think it wad Bristol that he didn't pick up the back post to concede but hes a good player. Keeper looked a bit unsure to come or stay on his line which didn't help. Good point away from home

Great day out and thought we played very well. I went expecting a defeat so to get the draw was fantastic. Atmosphere was brilliant. If anything i thought we could have won it. Loved hearing Bradford fans saying we should be beating teams like Barrow. Some rather depressed looking Stockport county fans got on the train at Halifax. I couldn't resist to ask how they had got on

Could it be because all the studio facilities are now based in Carlisle at the other end of the county 96 miles from Barrow.I seem to remember that The Bay always used to give us fairly good coverage also.Perhaps Radio Cumbria could work in conjunction with Cando Radio to give Barrow a bit more airtime.Just a suggestion.
Yesterday Adam wasn't on the mic so it would be unreasonable to expect the stand-in, Gary Woodworth, to have spoken and contributed quite so much or as knowledgeably (although he could have got our players names right during commentary). Also, Adam has said repeatedly that if we, the fans, don't get involved with texts and conversation then they can only do so much. Clearly, Carlisle folk are more garrulous than us Barrovians. :D
Don't let the old man in.

Just watched the extended highlights. The late pen shout at the end- …think we might have got off with that one. See a lot less given.

The bay were only ever interested in Barrow on a big occasion
They very rarely sent a reporter to Holker street to cover games yet Lourded over the fact we played at Wembley in 2010

In terms of yesterday i was very ill and couldn’t travel so Garry stepped up to the plate at 8am in the morning so with the fact he had no prep etc he did a damn good job

Has to be one of the best ever away days. Great ground, great atmosphere and great result. A few beers pre match in Bradford, still can’t believe we were playing against, infact as good as Bradford city, a fantastic, real big football club.

Sounds like a great club. Return fixture on New Yer's Day should be a really big gate (weather permitting ;) )

Sorry to hear you were ill Adam and hope you are soon feeling better. We all look forward to your commentary at matches with your in depth knowledge. It was good of Garry to step-in at such short notice and despite having very little prep time did a fairly decent job. Here,s hoping you are back in the hot seat for Friday night's game as I am away and will be watching it on iFollow.

The reason I suggested linking your commentary to Cando FM was so that you could carry on with your broadcast at half time and after the match instead of handing back to Carlisle. It would be one way of allowing Barrow matches and commentary to be heard in tandem with the Carlisle matches.I think Cando FM have broadcast Barrow matches before we were promoted. That is unless of course the BBC agreement with the EFL prevents the sharing of a broadcast.

Cando never did full broadcast
They streamed the radio Lonsdale broadcast which is no longer possible as due to coverage not being allowed online there is no way to link anything up with cando

We couldn’t do the same as they don’t have the correct equipment for that to happen

Two great northern sporting institutions going at it and sharing the spoils.

Fine weather and fine ale topped things off wonderfully.

A proper article about football from a journalist know seems to know what he’s talking about…..compare and contrast to NWEM who often plagiarise their “articles” straight from interviews on the club website.
I thought we were tremendous at Bradford and could have won, but 1-1 was fair. Banks looked like he’d played CB all his life. Kay refreshingly lively - they even put two men on him in the second half. Magnificent support from our fans.
