FGR under Cooper, with their superior resources struggled in their first season in this League. Yet they steadily improved year on year and that provided the platform for where they are now.
Yes - look where they are now after Cooper 'left' and was replaced by another manager! ;)

Another shambles, I'm afraid, although certainly not unexpected to me. As I said pre-match, I can't see where a goal is coming from at the moment. Crawley were as bad as I expected although definitely better than Carlisle. We've now gone from 7th to 19th in not much more than a month and unless the manager manages to find some sort of a striker in January nothing is more certain than this team will be close to relegation. Carlisle and Scunthorpe just might save us unless they also manage to sign some decent players.
The only time we played any football today was when White was brought on as he does get into positions to receive the ball and although he generally makes simple passes they are always to his own team. Sadly, with our non-existent strike force we never looked like scoring even when our football improved a bit.
I could weep when I think of the team we had and the football we played under Evatt and compare it to what has been on display since. We may have gone up a league but we have certainly gone down a level in terms of football!

Are we going to compare everything to Evatt, Quigley and Rooney for the rest of our lives? Yeah it was good at the time but we move on. Chances are that team wouldn't have [SwearFilter] League Two, and would have still come unstuck against some of the seasoned EFL squads that the top end of this league has to offer. His approach and style of play isn't exactly working for him now is it? It's all relative and about finding what's right for the situation we are in, rather than getting upset about what the football used to be like. Dunn's style was easier on the eye than Kelly's but it was the latter that got the results that mattered.
Popular side since '03.

Very honest assessment from cooper the team were very poor hopefully a few additions in January will bolster attacking options. Trust the manager to make thenright changes if given the support.

Just watched the highlights.... M. Jones gets the ball and banks leaves him dead behind the ball......totally preventable.

Not how I saw it at all. I thinkI heard Jones call so Banks ducked out of heading it, then Jones mis-controlled it.
